Sycamore Lodge, Jackson Springs, North Carolina

Pitiful that a beautiful place like this has only a few full hookups and they are ALWAYS taken by their "members". It's 2016 people!! We camped at Sycamore Lodge in a Fifth Wheel.

Cross Winds Family Campground, Linwood, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very new place that's just getting started but, will be great as he progresses. Between Winston-Salem and Salisbury, NC it is a great location for locals to enjoy without having to drive so far. Everything from the big rigs to tents when we were here. It's a peaceful place if you like that sort of thing! We camped at Cross Winds Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Mayberry Campground, Mount Airy, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We've camped here several times and have nothing but praise for the place and the staff! The man who owns it, treats people like they own it and can't do enough for you to make you comfortable. Not too good for kids yet, but it will get better as time goes by. He is adding sites and amenities all the time. Great place to camp. We camped at Mayberry Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America), Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We have visited here twice and both times it was mostly perfect. There is a battle field from the Civil War located in the resort and they have re-enactments there. The town of Gettysburg is only a few miles up the road and several other tourist attractions are close as well. It's a great place to visit! We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Fifth Wheel.

Skyline Ranch Resort, Front Royal, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed three nights there in May using our Coast to Coast. They put us on a very bad site that was in a hole and very hard to back in to with a forty foot fifth wheel. There was a fence right in front of the site and also it was from the blind side. As we walked through the park we saw plenty of very nice, large sites with no one on them. We did not understand why they would put us on a tight spot with a 40' camper when they had plenty of nice spaces. We talked with some other campers and they told us that Coast to Coast people were put on the worst spots they had so we agreed and had a good time anyway! They have the nicest lodge we have ever seen at a campground and we used it to watch TV two nights. It has a 60" TV with satellite and no one was ever in there so it was private for us at that time. Real nice place to go if you tell them first that you want one of their nice spots if available. We did not know that you had to ask first. We thought that they would put us on a good spot because it was in May and not many would be there at this time. Looks like they would want you to brag about the place and maybe come back. Go figure! This would be great for kids, too. It has a petting zoo and other things for kids to enjoy. We camped at Skyline Ranch Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Hidden Acres Family Campground , Milford, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this place because there was nothing going on. It was very, very quiet and peaceful out in the country. Only thing there to do is sleep, walk, watch TV, go on line, have a campfire, cook out, or nothing! Sometimes this is what we like! The lady that owns this place treated us great. Her whole family lived and worked there. If we are ever up that way again we will stay there a few days for sure! We camped at Hidden Acres Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
