King Neptune Campground, Indian Harbour, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Peggy's Cove is just a short drive away, and in the middle of a short season, so its busy. Arriving early will give you a better choice of sites. There are probably 10 sites with unrestricted ocean views. Most of the others have partial view. Pick your site of those available when you arrive. If not for the location it would not get a high rating, but its location is great. We camped at King Neptune Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Headquarters Campground (Parks Canada), Fundy National Park, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park campground. The Provincial roads in the area are sometimes rough and narrow, but worth the drive. A few of the tent sites have a great view of the Bay of Fundy and town of Alma. RV sites are level, gravel good sized. It is walkable to town, but kind of a hike back up. Wish we had a few more days, its a beautiful location. We camped at Headquarters Campground (Parks Canada) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Stop in at the visitor center, lots of good info on hikes, programs and things to see. On Friday they offered a program called Molly's Kitchen. Well worth the $5 fee. Arrive about 15 minutes early because that is when the entertainment starts. Amateur, humorous, and fun. Gives a little insight of life in the area 100 years ago.

Cavendish Campground (Parks Canada), Prince Edward Island National Park, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed this park. Several of comments from past are rectified. Check in area enlarged, Bathrooms either updated or new, not sure witch, clean laundry facilities. Almost all of the pull troughs are very long and plenty wide for slides. There at a few where the vegetation makes it too narrow for slides. We were in site A101, beautiful site. Only problem is it is listed as Full hook-up, and there is no sewer connection. There are 3 sites in a row with this problem. Check in is aware and rebated 1 nights fee. We thought the beach at Stanhope was much nicer than Cavendish. Its a beautiful drive over there and you will probably go over that way just to see the sights. We camped at Cavendish Campground (Parks Canada) in a Fifth Wheel.

Rockwood Park, Saint John, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is on the edge of Saint John. The Rockwood Park is very large and has swimming beaches, good hiking trails, a restaurants, and the campground. The park portion is very nice. The campground is adequate for a short stay. It is really a large gravel area with hookups. As others have addressed, it is initially confusing about how to park. When we were there, it was only about a quarter full, so it seemed spacious. When full it would feel cramped. We stopped here to restock the pantry after clearing Canadian customs and before going on farther to Nova Scotia. We camped at Rockwood Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pemaquid Point Campground, New Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is very much like a good state campground. Lots of trees (well trimmed),and generous size sites. There are several full hookup sites, but most are water and electric. It was about half full when we were here. Can't understand why, its a good location and nice restful campground. Many of the Maine state highways in this area are in poor repair. We camped at Pemaquid Point Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Schoodic Woods Campground, Winter Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a terrific National Park. Designed and built for the kind of "camping" Americans do these days. We were in the B section. Almost all pull through, able to accommodate the largest RVs, water and electric. The A section is larger and most spots would accommodate large RVs, electric only. This is not the "Bar Harbor experience." There are no T shirt shops, no fudge shops. This is Acadia. Great drives along the rocky Maine coast. Great bicycle paths, great hiking. Great sites for everything from large motor homes to small walk-in tent sites. Park operates a free shuttle all along the peninsula, including the town of Winter Harbor, where there are restaurants and some shopping. We camped at Schoodic Woods Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Gilbert Lake State Park, Laurens, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was very slow, internet connection? We were in Hilltop section. Steep hill up but nice area on the top. We were in a back in #1. Spacious and it did have a water connection. Agree with comments about low branches and tight turn into the sewer dump site. The lake is beautiful, the beach had lifeguards. Originally developed by the CCC, still has some of original buildings. Good trails to hike. We camped at Gilbert Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA, Cleveland, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Previous posts are accurate. We stayed two different times. In April there was a mud issue because of recent rains. In June hot and dry, so no issue. It is an older park and so has the same issues that most older parks have. There are about a dozen spots in a newer section that are all pull-through, level and no shade. We camped at Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Blanco State Park, Blanco, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park setting close on the Blanco river. Level back in with some shade. all utilities were good. Glad we had a reservation because it filled up on the weekend. Park police made regular rounds throughout the day. Bathrooms were well kept, but there are a lot of tent sites and on the weekend the restrooms were quite busy. We camped at Blanco State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Colorado Landing, La Grange, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Agree with both previous reviews. Main part of park is an 8, the back section is probably a 6 or 7. We were in main section and quite pleased. Huge site with some shade. Our site was level back in, all utilities good. We were in area for the Blue Bonnet festival at Chappell Hill, lots of fun. Also the "Painted Church" driving tour was enjoyable. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

Corinth RV Park, Corinth, Mississippi

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

No park employee at site. Another resident said to just take any open site. The pull thru sites available had an upslope with deep mud ruts, The water connections were in a below ground box that was filled with muddy water. The available back in site was paved and level concrete with above ground water connection. Unfortunately there was a large dog nest door with a leash that extended to the available site. Dog was barking and growling, not friendly. We did not feel safe and did not stay. We camped at Corinth RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
