Tyler State Park, Tyler, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here in the hottest part of the summer. There was plenty of shade and a great swimming hole area of the lake. There were paddle boats, water bikes, pontoon boats, etc. available to rent by the hour. The entire park lost power for about 7 hours which made for some uncomfortable sleeping, but it certainly wasn't the park's fault. The bathhouse was incredibly hot, sticky and smelly, which is the only reason I didn't rate the park as a 10. We camped at Tyler State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Camp Huaco Springs, New Braunfels, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2010 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is our favorite campground and we stay here at least twice a year. We love the easy river access. It's shallow enough to set chairs up in the river and watch the kids play. The staff is friendly. We camped at Camp Huaco Springs in a Travel Trailer.
