Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

Ocean Lakes has a wonderful facility in a great location. On paper it should be a great place to camp, unfortunately it has grown to the point where it is over crowded and unpleasant to stay there. Sites have all the things you would expect but when problems occur like poor power quality, service is terrible, hundreds of golf carts appear to be operated by midget stunt drivers, rules go unenforced. There are fireworks continuous from 9pm until midnight. Theft of items from campsites appeared to be common and security invisible. With about 20% less campers and security enforcing their rules this would be an incredible place to stay!!!! We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Misty Mountain Camp Resort, Crozet, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

A great, family oriented campground where adults can enjoy themselves as well. The mountain location makes it perfect for a summer camp and the nearby wineries and trails make it interesting and fun. We camped at Misty Mountain Camp Resort in a Motorhome.
