Just returned from a weekend camping trip here and like it a lot. We had a wooded site up on the hill which in my opinion are the best. They are very shaded and cooler than down below and are very spacious and private. We had site 267 and all the sites around us were big and level. It is more of a walk to pool, office, and miniature golf etc, which are all located closer to the entrance but the walk is worth the beautiful sites. You can rent a golf cart to run around if you have a problem walking but I would reserve one when you make a reservation they go quick. Walking around I used a few of the restrooms and they were very clean. I did not use their showers, also the pool is beautiful and heated. Lots of things to do if you have kids. I would stay here again.

This is the second time we camped here. I like the restaurant/lounge that is on the property which has music on the weekends. They added a nice deck out the back of the office where they had a blue grass band play. Also a gem mine where the kids can pan for fancy stones. The pool looked nice and clean. I like the campground and there were improvements from the first time I camped here. The seasonal camper families that I talked to, many from Texas told me they are here for months working on the gas lines. They were nice people. I did not use their showers but noticed they were coin operated. I would camp here again, we always find a lot to do in the area.

I read some of the reviews after we booked this campground and thought we were in for a nightmare and found just the opposite. The pool was not dirty nor were the bathrooms and showers, I didn't use them; I used my motorhome but had to check them out. They did need some serious upgrading, very old looking but clean. As for the sites, one camper commented that there was no grass. Its the woods! Our site was very large and not up against the next camper. Some sites could be tight getting in to for very large rigs because of all the trees but we had no problem with a 36 foot. All the trees provided an awesome canopy against the heat and removing more I think would ruin the woods camping. The road and our site was stoned. Saturday night they had a 50s sock hop and DJ at the pool. The pool was filled with balloons for the kids. Also had cheese steaks for purchase and everyone brought snacks. I would stay here again.

The Campground is very convenient to get to the park but other than that not very good. I have been camping there every year for over 20 years for reunions and I have not seen much of any upgrades in 20 years except the electric and upgrade to the bathrooms that are hard used and needed it bad. They did add upper sites and cabins years ago. The bathrooms and showers are clean if you get there before they get trashed and I have seen them really trashed. There are no water hookups so you have to fill before you park and they have a dump station when you leave to dump. The sites are pretty much dirt and large tree roots you have to watch when you walk. It is not the greatest in camping but the park is walking distance and is awesome.
