Old Cedar Campground, Monroeville, New Jersey

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

It has been 3 years since I reviewed Old Cedar. They have added a road to make more pull-thrus and upgraded the electricity to 50 amp on about 30 sites. The two rows of sites closest to the cow pasture have clear access to satellite and a beautiful view of the cows. We will return. Rate reflects the monthly rate with a Senior discount. We camped at Old Cedar Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Elk Creek RV Park, Elk City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Decent campground, clean showers, close to interstate. No shade at our site, and it was 100 degrees. Would stay here for a night again if in the area. We camped at Elk Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Summerlan RV Park, Raton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Good place for a night or two, not a destination. Highway noise wasn't too bad. Staff friendly. Sites are only 19 ft wide for pull-throughs. Not much to see in town. Restrooms and showers were nice. Would stay here for a night or two. We camped at Summerlan RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate was Passport America. Scenic, wooded campsites, quiet. Pull through sites. Would return if in the area. We camped at RV Village Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Old Cedar Campground, Monroeville, New Jersey

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Only a few 50 amp sites and they are back-ins. No unobstructed view for satellite at 50 amp sites. Many seasonals but kept up. Sites are dirt and not level. Beautiful new pool for the kids. Bathrooms and laundry were rustic and need updating. Pay for 3 weeks and get the 4th week free. Their monthly rate is for 28 days, not 30. Would return when in the area. We camped at Old Cedar Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Curtis Creek COE, Junction City, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground on Milford Lake. Our loop had only 30 amp and water, no sewer. There is a boat ramp nearby and some shady spots. Rate reflects Federal senior pass. Be advised that the campground is located 11 miles from the interstate. We were told that 50 amp sites are at another park. We camped at Curtis Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Shady Grove Campground, Seibert, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Ok for an overnight. There were lots of flies when we got there...don't know why. Owners friendly and helpful. Restrooms were clean. Be advised the town is almost completely dead. Windows and doors "downtown " were boarded up, but there was a decent-sized grocery store, the only business we saw. Campground is for sale. Rate is PPA. We camped at Shady Grove Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverview RV Park & Campground, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Be advised that the campground is located about 10 miles west of the interstate. There is a tight turn coming out of the campground. Campground is on Big Thompson River. Some sites are riverfront. Sites rather close together. Staff friendly. Some shade. Walking trail and fenced dog yard. Clean restrooms and laundry. Had to pay an extra $1 a day for WI-FI. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Caspar Campground, Casper, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Located behind Ft. Caspar Museum. No sign for campground on the highway so it took awhile how to get to it. The entrance is very scenic and staff was friendly, but the campground itself was a big disappointment. It is essentially a big gravel parking lot in the full sun with lots of permanent residents on the perimeter. There was no picnic table at the site. The bathrooms were very clean, but be advised that the toilet stalls have shower curtains rather than doors. We camped at Fort Caspar Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Badlands Interior Motel & Campground, Interior, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are close together and two spaces share electricity and water hook ups. Staff friendly. Great views of the Badlands. Ok for a night or two. The town is very, very small and there is only a gas station, bar/grill, post office, and a small food/convenience store. The closest drug store is 30 miles through the park to Wall Drugs. The campground is for sale. We camped at Badlands Interior Motel & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

County Line Campground, Summit, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Passport America discount. This campground was nice for a couple of days. No shade, but temps pleasant. Very clean bathrooms. Very friendly campground hosts. Only heard the train in the daytime. The town of Summit is well past its prime with only one restaurant, a small hardware store, and a grocery store that I would be leery of eating food from (lack of turnover). Otherwise, everything is boarded up.The nearest town in either direction is 30 miles away. We camped at County Line Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

No Wi-Fi at site unless you are close to the office/house. Bathrooms were old, but clean. Sites close together. Only campground in area. Note: don't expect to see any falls in International Falls as there aren't any. We camped at Arnold's Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Prairie View Campground, Lusk, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $17.00

PPA rate. New owners since June, very friendly. Bathrooms clean, but need modernizing. Site not level. Lots of highway noise, so bring a white noise machine or fan. Rumbling train noise at 5 am. Not bad for an overnight stay. We camped at Prairie View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Blackhawk Valley Campground, Rockford, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Passport America rate. Campground is down in a valley so there was no wi-fi or cell phone service. No full hookup sites available for us as most of the sites are seasonal sites. Mosquitoes were very bad at dusk. OK for a one night stopover. I would look for another campground if longer than one night. We camped at Blackhawk Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
