American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We have started at American in Albuquerque on 2 separate occasions. 2 times at check in the rep huffed and puffed that I didn't have my Good Sam card or #. The first time I retrieved it immediately from GS and softened her overly stern demeanor. She also was very determined to get the exact length of Rv w/tow to the point I thought she would stomp her feet like a little kid. This last visit on 7/28 was the same situation, different rep. They don't store the numbers in the rest of my history and they don't look up # on GS, so the next time I just make up a #. The jacuzzi water needed a change. The dinning room is unusual. The tables are so big, I feel like I'm closed to the person behind me. The chairs and tables are too bulky for the space. The Indian table runners in the heavy weave look dirty with crumbs and dust. I did not feel safe in the shower. The lock on the door was a quick set and the frame was out of square. I leaned against the locked door and popped it open.

The spaces are a little confining and your laundry rate at $1.75 a wash is high. If they WiFi can't stream music, what good is it? We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Springridge Mobile Estates & RV Park, Clinton, Mississippi

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Old mobile estates, very organized and not a personal touch anywhere. The spots are right on top of one another and when you open your door you have 2' before the 5'tall bushes. Very unlevel. Swim pool & child area. Ok for passing through. We camped at Springridge Mobile Estates & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Large park, only grass & gravel even for the long term. No picnic benches. Fairly close together. Nothing special and it's way off the road. We camped at Bayou Wilderness RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park), Shreveport, Louisiana

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice all around, devalued for the potholes on all the gravel roads. Everything was clean, the showers (with handicap benches in all), toilets, laundry, and pool. The handicap shower also had a full length mirror. 5 washers and 4 dryers. 2 dog runs. Lots of sites, gift shop stuff, 50 amp service, Wi-Fi, and cable. Stayed 7/4-7/5. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Billings KOA, Billings, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Fabulous grounds, shade trees. Great idea for families to have a shower & toilet in one individual room, and there are several of these rooms. They could be cleaner, with mats and without mold in the corners & on the curtains. TV cable not long enough. The young women who checked us in couldn't get rid of us fast enough (there was no one but us and her colleges) speaking faster than a speeding bullet. We had to find our own way ("around this, turn left here, 3 rows turn right, 5 spaces down turn left") while 2 workers chatted outside in their golf carts. the river is viewable. Their lake, where they put tents, needs help & has mosquitoes. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.

Country Corners RV Park and Campground , Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

-10 really. Great owner/hosts, informative. $ good. complimentary veggies, home grown, with registration., or pick you own. Monthlies are neat & quiet, unnoticeable. Close to highway, which is the only drawback. Weekday nights the trucks can bother a light sleeper. ADA showers/restrooms. The wheelchair shower (8x8) has a sink, but the door didn't seem to lock. The other shower rooms are standing only, no seat in it & they're about 4x8'. Clean. could use a fold down seat attached to the wall. Maybe pull the plastic chair in after you. Will go back. We camped at Country Corners RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

I would go return if Reno had more. We camped at Shamrock RV Park in a Motorhome.

J Diamond Mobile Ranch, Bishop, California

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

9+ really terrific! The managers are terrific, ready to remedy any problem or question you have; and friendly. The monthly neighbors are lovely and happy to chat with anyone. Clean, organized, compact and tidy. $1.25 laundry w/lots of space to hang your laundry in the sun. Who has that anywhere? Small complaint about the pad and bumpy dirt road. The spaces are narrow but we did it w/40'. We'll be back because there is a lot in the area to see and do. We camped at J Diamond Mobile Ranch in a Motorhome.

Black Bart's RV Park, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

The people & the price are the best; the camp cites & grounds are sadly neglected. A few permanent hoarders make it look bad for the several who keep their space neat. (But the management said they're leaving.) Steakhouse with singing staff and good food $$$. Back row backs up to trees & a street, but it's quiet. I will stay there again because it's convenient. We camped at Black Bart's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Compact, clean, organized. Rail trolly runs through Tempe, but it's very quiet, & so is the neighborhood. Small size pool with a couple of tables in the shade. Perfect. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.

High Desert RV Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Spacious sites, clean $1.25 wash/dryers, beautiful rec room, 2 pool tables, very helpful staff (they do a terrific job). No trees & the picnic tables are still not usable. Two miles to I-40 but it's very quiet. Rate based on Good Sam discount. With trees & pool it would probably be a 10. We camped at High Desert RV Park in a Motorhome.

Red Rock Canyon State Park, Hinton, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

The road is steep as a previous reviewer wrote. The Ranger said call when leaving and they'd hold up traffic so we could swing wide. It was easy for 40' w/tow. Lovely long strip of trees, tents, RV's, party shelters, between the 30' walls of a canyon. Handicap has very long, level cement slab, the others were gravel. Pool closed for the season. Some were fishing in what seemed like a stagnant stream, but a beautiful setting next to the red rock. We'll be back. Rate for 62+. We camped at Red Rock Canyon State Park in a Motorhome.

Among the best! Quiet, great view, immaculate bath/showers with handicap assist bar, wheelchair access. Fabulous rec-room: you name it, it was here. Exercise bikes, 2 large screen TVs, dvd's, full kitchen, pool table, darts, board game, a/c, lots of tables and couches for time away from the M/H. Everything is very clean. We'll be back. We camped at Cloud Nine Park in a Motorhome.

Quiet, some shade trees, nice people, but sadly neglected. $1 wash/dry each. $24 cash for 50amp, cable TV and WiFi. I was happy with that and if in the area, would consider an overnight. We camped at Fossil Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.
