Surf City Family Campground, North Topsail Beach, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2005 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

While this campground is by no means fancy, it is a family friendly, fun place to enjoy the beach. You are no more than 100 yards from the beach with access at all times for swimming, surf fishing, or beachcombing. The facility is old but the owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. If you are into fancy parks with lots of amenities, this place ain't for you, but if you like a nice, quiet place to camp on the beach, you will find it here! We camped at Surf City Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Little Pine State Park, Waterville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2005 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

A scenic campground on the Little Pine Creek. No water or sewer hookups but water and dump station are nearby. A quiet scenic park in the mountains. A large lake is available at the top of the mountain that offers fishing, swimming and sailing. The restrooms are spotless and the park is at all times well maintained. The nearest town, Waterville, is quite small but has several nice hometown restaurants if cooking is not your thing. Highly recommended if you are not looking for plush amenities We camped at Little Pine State Park in a Travel Trailer.

We only stayed one night while traveling thru on I-70, but this campground was very nice and only two miles off the interstate. The owners are quite friendly and welcoming. Park is located near several RV mega dealers in Richmond We camped at Grandpa's Farm Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Susquehanna Campground, Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2004 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed in some pretty seedy places, but this campground rates number one. I really hate to pan any campground, but stay here at your own peril. Entry/egress is difficult, especially with a big rig and the sites are just bare places in the bottom-land along the Susquehanna River. We camped at Susquehanna Campground in a Travel Trailer.
