Morro Dunes RV Park, Morro Bay, California

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Busy park directly across a small street from the beach. Great views of Morro Rock. We stayed in the most northerly site, right inside the entry. I was worried it would be noisy and busy, but it was fine, plus we had the only site with a direct ocean view! Sites are tight, particularly near the beach, they get bigger in the rear area. Run by nice folks. We have stayed here before and will again. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Motorhome.

San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA, Petaluma, California

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $71.00
Overall Rating:

Very busy KOA (we were there on an August weekend). Lots for kids to do, nice pool, big bouncy pillow, petting zoo, movies, etc. Friendly, but busy, staff. The sites were tight, but OK. Lots of mature trees. A bit hilly, but pads were mostly level. No view to speak of. Located just north of the quaint town of Petaluma, about 30 minutes in from the coast. Would stay here again. We camped at San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA in a Motorhome.

Morro Dunes RV Park, Morro Bay, California

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Nice older park right across from the beach. We had a wonderful view of Morro Rock right out our front window. The park itself is a bit sparse, but functional. Our site was tight for our 34' Class A, but I chose it for the view and direct beach access; they do have larger sites, but the view is not as good. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is an RV repair shop on site (same owners?). Good inventory of parts too. The town of Morro Bay, and the "Rock" is an easy 15 minute walk away. There is some sort of water treatment plant behind the park, but there was no problem with noise or smells. I will definitely come back to this park. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mission Farm RV Park, San Juan Bautista, California

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Nice older park. About 5 miles off Hwy 101. Hwy 156 runs along one side of the park, so there's some noise, but it gets quiet in the evening. Park has a "western" feel, with several nice old wood buildings and a big barn. Friendly/helpful staff. Filled with big trees (sequoias?). Good sized dirt sites, but clean. several full timers, but the ones I spoke to were friendly. Wi-Fi didn't work at our site (A16), had to walk over to the Club House with my lap-top for reception. We camped at Mission Farm RV Park in a Motorhome.
