Jonesburg Gardens Campground, Jonesburg, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Price is including tax & Good Sam's discount. Not a bad campground, we were just going to be here overnight. From what we saw, all campsites were pull throughs, or at least most of them. Gravel roads & sites, our site was level enough that I didn't have to unhook. The campground could use some TLC, and the fishing ponds are pretty mossy, doubt if there would be very good fishing. Easy on & off from I-70, and not far off the interstate. We camped at Jonesburg Gardens Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

France Park, Logansport, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Overnighted here, only saw one staff member, & he was friendly and helpful. Put us in a back-in site, but said there was no one in the one behind it, so we could use it as a pull-through. Also said he wouldn't put anyone behind us, so we could leave the truck hooked up with no problems. We did a little walking around, and it looked like a nice park. Appeared clean & neat. Appears to be mainly a seasonal park, as there appeared to be a lot of long term rigs here. Got to say that most of the rigs were newer, or in good shape. From what we saw all sites were water & electric only. We camped at France Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Frank Russell COE, Monroe City, Missouri

We overnighted here. Typical COE park, it was spacious, and from what little walking we did, it was clean. The COE volunteers were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Frank Russell COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The dump station is to the left of the fee booth. If you go through the fee booth first, from what we observed you'll have to drive around the campsite loop to fill your water. However if you fill your water first, the hydrant will be on the wrong side & you'll have to run the hose under the rig.

River Ranch RV Resort, New Braunfels, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This really is an excellent campground, small, & slightly tight, but not bad. Sites are concrete pads & level. Nice river view. The only reason I gave it 5 stars, is that it's right under I-35 and VERY noisy with the traffic. I had to sleep with ear plugs in. Might stay here again, but will look for something quieter. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping, Mackinaw City, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was very nice, spacious, and clean, with some privacy from our neighbors. They have gravel roads, and campsites are on grass/dirt (sand). We didn't use the showers or restrooms, but the one we checked was clean. The place is like a maze, the roads wind around, and there are tall trees so you can't really see where you are. They have signs posted so you can wind your way to your site pretty easily. The reason I down graded the service was because as big as this place is, and the way the roads wind around, they had no one to lead you to your site. It was sort of overwhelming following their map to your site. But we made it with no problems, and was able to get in & out during our stay without getting lost. Our site was pretty level, also it was open enough that we could have used our satellite if we'd put it out. But it didn't look like you could have at all sites. They sell tickets for the ferry to Mackinaw Island at the camp store, and there is even a free shuttle with 2 stops in the park to the ferry dock. They pick you up at the campground, and are waiting for you when you get off the ferry to take you back. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

There are a lot of things to do in Mackinaw City. We did a lot of sight seeing, and spent one day at Mackinaw Island. Mackinaw Island is beautiful, but expensive! Meals are costly, but it was worth it!

Traverse Bay RV Resort, Williamsburg, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $76.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for about 5 days. Very nice park & very clean. Asphalt roads, and concrete to park camper on. But it's way too expensive for our tastes. It was the only place we could get reservations, as not only were we there over the 4th of July, but the Cherry Festival was going on also. The only reason I gave it a 7 is because of the price, but we were paying for the amenities we didn't use...pool, etc. This is mainly a place where you buy a campsite (ours was for sale at $35,000.00). Would I stay there again? No, but only because of the rates. We camped at Traverse Bay RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Timbersurf Campground Resort, Fountain, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here to visit Ludington, it is a bit of a drive, but the campground is well worth it. Most of the people here leave their rigs here year round, but all that we talked with were super friendly, and the staff was outstanding!! We spent 5 days here. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Level campsite with FHU. Rate was PA, except the weekend was full price. We camped at Timbersurf Campground Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

First Colony Mobile Home and RV Park, San Benito, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Passport America park, and the rate reflects this. The photos on the website aren't exactly what is actually here. We are parked on grass/dirt, but there is a concrete pad for a patio. We were going to stay here for 3 days, & looked around to see if there was anything that suited us better, but decided to stay for the 14 days they allow with PA. We at first were put in a pull through with concrete, & when we extended our stay we got moved to the other site. We parked as far back as we could & still step out the door on to the concrete. I had to use 2 sewer hoses & barely got hooked up, and had to use 50' of water hose. It rained while there & we had to walk in mud from the patio to the truck. Everyone we've talked to-staff included were very friendly. Probably would stay here again. We camped at First Colony Mobile Home and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We loved this park! When we entered the park, our tires never left concrete. Level shaded sites, that weren't stacked on top of each other. The staff was accommodating & friendly. We will definitely stay there again. We camped at Rustic Cove Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Shady Grove Campground, Seibert, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed in this campground twice on our way to Colorado. It's nothing fancy, but serves the purpose for an overnight stay on the road. The owners were very nice people, and live on site. We will stay there again when in the area! The above rate is with Passport America. We camped at Shady Grove Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
