About Newbet

We RV when we can. Still have a home but try to get on the road as often as possible. We travel in a motorhome and tow our Jeep. We really depend on RV Park Reviews and I try to give them as well. Thanks to all the people who give honest reviews.

This rv park is run by a Recreation center in this small town. The spaces are located behind the rec center and have electricity and water. You are parking on the paved lot and the slots are designed to back in. Since we didn't want to unhook we used site one and pulled along side it. The 50 amp didn't work so we used site 2. We were so thankful to find the park and get out ofthe wind. It was very quiet and along side a big field where we could exercise our dog.

We were so thankful to find this spot. Family emergency in Sioux Falls and during Sturgeous and Fair. Nothing was available. We really lucked out to stay here. Such very nice people. They even let me exercise my dog on the driving range. Beautiful golf course, fabulous buffet, and OK slots. Very convenient for us to Avera Hosp. Small park but surrounded by lovely farms and green golf course.

Despite making a reservation with credit card several days in advance, we arrived to find that we didn't have a place to park. Our space was given to another person. I also noticed they have quite a few homesteaders there. Hard to understand why we couldn't have just two nights when others had been there for months. The sites are located in a city park. The surrounding area is very attractive. However, the RV sites are not very well maintained. Some sites have picnic tables and others do not. Some are very close and others have a bit more space. We waited there for several hours while they tried to find a space for us, but the clerk who managed reservations was away from her desk. I cannot recommend the park to others as there does not seem to be a reservation system in place.

We only stayed one night. It is a small campground with lots of grass and a big playground. The back in-sites are very spacious. The lady running it is very nice and goes out of her way for her guests.

Amazing sites. Very large with picnic tables and fire pits. Just 25 sites surrounded by huge pine trees. There are hiking trails and a fishing lake. A great place to stay. We wanted to visit lookout Mountain near Chattanooga. It was 53 miles away and not a problem to get there. Also huge battleground in Lafayette - about 20 miles. Roads into the park are narrow but paved and we had no problems. Our site was paved because it was an Handicap Site. The others are gavel and level. Park has backin and pull throughs. There is no sewer but they have a dump station.

Very small spaces. Lots of traffic in the park. Trolly comes through several times a day. I worry about children on bikes. Not dog friendly. You have to walk through camping sites to access the dog walk area. I can't recommend the park for either overnight or long stays. The small sites make sitting outside impossible.

Such a lovely park and so much to do. A family could enjoy an entire vacation here. Surrounded by mountains and tall trees. There is a Tram to take you down to the river. 3 Lodges and each has a dining room. There is golf, summing pool, lake for canoes/fishing. Our space was tight but we enjoyed it. Next time we will stay in a pull through rather than the back-in.

Surrounded by trees and grass. Very well maintained. Huge play area for kids. Sites are quite nice with a concrete patio and table. I was sad that we were only there overnight. Checking in is quite confusing. The Days Inn motel runs the KOA. Just as we were pulling in the entrance we spotted the sign that said not to enter until registering at the mohtel. We were towing so that was not possible. We called the hotel and they insisted we come up there. We had to unhook and that was not what we were planning to do. So the signage is not good. Hard to find the KOA. Tiny signs about where to register and no properly posted. Huge play ground. Lovely surroundings. There is an ampitheater there and I'm not sure how it works for campers. It's huge but not much was working.

There are not many choices in the area. It was quiet and we were surrounded by trees and grass. There was a nice fenced dog play area. There is a paved road to the park. The road is narrow but it's pretty typical for this part of the counry. The spaces are too close to allow outside enjoyment: picnics and just sitting outside. We were visiting relatives and not staying there during the day. The office people were nice and ready to give directions. The park is well maintained.

What a nice place to stay. The spaces are not close and there is a fire pit (really nice one), and a really nice picnic table. It's paved and the pull through was long. We received a key card for the rest rooms and pool at the hotel. Frequent security came through. Lots of green grass and places to walk the dog. I would give them a 10 if there was a fenced dog area. The Casino is very nice and their buffet is a great bargain.

Like most campgrounds in this part of the country - it's hilly with a narrow road to the campground. We held our breath that no one was coming down the mountain because there was certainly no room! The spaces were quite close and kind of confusing to tell gravel road from space. It's probably fine for a family vacation but not a good idea for just one night. And there are the list of rules - one of which tells people to call the owner immediately if you hear cursing. Call day or night they say. I stayed inside for fear of stubbing my toe and saying $#%**%%.

Lovely park with large shade trees and a pond. There was plenty of space between spaces. The owner escorted us to our space. This would be a great place to park for several weeks. We could only stay two days but would love to return.

I am so glad they had a place for us. It was nice being surrounded by grass. The fairgrounds provided lots of good walking. Our dog enjoyed those walks too. It wasn't noisey and the hosts were very friendly. You are packed in quite close and you park on grass. I would definitely stay there again.

Very nice park. It's surrounded by farmland. The park has lots of grass and trees. Plenty of places to walk the dog. We stayed longer because of the weather. The Casino is great. People are so friendly. The Buffet is awesome too. Be sure and join and they will give you $5.00 off your space and $25.00 to gamble.

We just stayed one night - the 4th of July. We have stayed here before. It's so clean and large pull through spaces. Lots of room to walk and explore. The managers are very friendly. Nebraska City is worth visiting and this park would be fine for a longer stay. Very family friendly and dog friendly.
