Vernal / Dinosaurland KOA, Vernal, Utah

Full hook up sites are very tight, no room for slides. Run of the mill KOA, nothing special here. We camped at Vernal / Dinosaurland KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Wilderness Rendezvous RV Park (Closed), Meeker, Colorado

Great place, looks new. Not much to the park, but some nice views of Colorado. Water is salty, don't attempt to wash your rig here. Nice place for a quick overnighter. We camped at Wilderness Rendezvous RV Park (Closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

Glenwood Canyon Resort, Glenwood Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice camp. Only complaint is that sewer connections are quite far forward in each site. I need 50 feet of sewer hose to connect. Yes there is a set of railroad tracks across the river, the noise did not bother us. Staff seemed busy most of the time, but were friendly and easy to deal with. We enjoyed the spectacular views, the river front beach was excellent and clean, the river while cool was a treat to wade. We would come back. We camped at Glenwood Canyon Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

River Dance RV Resort, Gypsum, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Reserved site three because it was advertised on web site as a big rig site with sewer. The site was not level and filled with sloping gravel. My 40 foot fifth wheel would have barely fit, and a back in to boot. This campground is VERY close to I-70, expect highway noise non-stop. The female clerk was unfriendly and confrontational when I asked to have a different site in the rear of the property. Website is not 100% accurate. Not all sites are paved. Not all sites are level. The so called river swimming area is DANGEROUS. Many sharp rocks, submerged branches, lost fishing lures and one heck of a strong eddy. Do not attempt to swim here. Stayed one night and moved on. Wont be back. Very poor value. We camped at River Dance RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
