Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here several times. Although this remains my favorite park in Las Cruces the service is not as personal as it once was. I am demoting them on value because their internet connection is poor to non-existant. Signal strength at the bus was good but could not depend upon getting an actual internet connection. As many of us depend upon Wifi services the management of this park would be well advised to ensure better wifi performance.

Great dog run and several other grassy areas for pets. Well-maintained facility. Extensive channel selection on their cable TV. Trash pickup at site. We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Although most new visitors to Las Cruces may be directed to the Las Posas restaurant in Mesilla (Touristy) for Mexican food you might want to try Chilitos on South Valley (locals go there) as well as Chope's in Mesquite (may have to stand in line).

Horseshoe RV Park (formerly RL RV Park LLC), Ranger, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nothing fancy, but a really nice little park. Very helpful owner. Far enough from I-20 so that noise is minimized. There is an occasional freight train nearby. Owner offered free use of his laundry. Easy in and out. Great value. We camped at Horseshoe RV Park (formerly RL RV Park LLC) in a Motorhome.

Lake Pines RV Park and Campground, Columbus, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for a week. Level site with concrete pad and grass. Lots of long term residents. Very quiet park. Infrequent freight train nearby. Several nice areas for pet walking including two trails into the woods. Friendly and accommodating office staff. Close to Wal-mart and the Columbus Mall. Excellent value. Office closed on Sunday requiring a self-registration for which ample forms and instructions are provided. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Cinnamon Creek RV Park, Minden, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a self-registration park. We registered by phone and were given complete instructions on locating our site. This is a small somewhat older park. Some sites seem to be in disrepair, but others appear to be renovated. Pull through site is a double site, easy in and out. Heavily wooded with lots of space for pet walking. We camped at Cinnamon Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Statesville / I-77 KOA, Statesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Park is old and on a hill overlooking I-77 with access via a country road and a long private driveway. Pavement is need of attention. Our site was a pull-through, reasonably level dirt and mud covered (some grass/weeds) but no pad. High speed internet service is quickly throttled down to unusable. Adjacent to Interstate so some vehicle noise; otherwise quiet. Sewer connection diameter is larger than standard making it impossible to get a seal. Somewhat overpriced at $45 per night. We camped at Statesville / I-77 KOA in a Motorhome.

The park is quite old and the entrance roads and tarmac at the office are in need of attention. The site was a pull through, hard surface and level. Quite a few permanent residents. Adjacent to Interstate. We camped at Montgomery Campground in a Motorhome.

Tra-Park RV Park - Escapees Rainbow Park, Pecos, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed her in a motor-home. The site was a hard dirt level surface facing a road. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of permanent rigs for oil field workers. Easy in and out. Very quiet and away from Interstate. Dog walk is actually the berm of the surrounding road however there is little traffic on that road. The berm is not maintained. Great for a one night stay. We camped at Tra-Park RV Park - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Las Cruces KOA, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Well maintained park. Easy in and out. Some sites have great view of the city. Site was gravel and level. Park is on a hill and away from the Interstate. Although an overall nice park I believe it to be somewhat over-priced at $45 per. We camped at Las Cruces KOA in a Motorhome.

Georgia RV Park (formerly Country Boys RV Park), Commerce, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly and accommodating staff. Easy access well away from the Interstate. Extra long (91') pull through site with ample width. A really lovely setting with large play area and open fields. The sign at the entrance said "Georgia RV Park" but the GPS confirmed it to be Country Boys. We camped at Georgia RV Park (formerly Country Boys RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Pato Blanco Lakes RV Resort, Benson, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here in a motorhome for 2 1/2 months. A very pleasant park with exceptionally friendly and helpful resident. Near the Interstate but actually quite quiet. Lots of activities available (if one wants). We enjoyed the weekly pot-lucks and Friday night games. We stayed in two different sites both of which were gravel covered and level. Easy access from I-10. We will return here next winter. We camped at Pato Blanco Lakes RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tucson / Lazydays KOA, Tucson, Arizona

This one is a peach. We have stayed at this park several times over the years and have always enjoyed our visits. Well maintained level sites (gravel), paved roadways, landscaped with several hundred citrus trees. Large dog run and park area. Access controlled makes this the most secure park we have visited. Garbage pickup at site. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Motorhome.

A great park. Paved roadways with graveled, level sites. Large dog run. Sites are configured such that your patio is not adjacent to your neighbors utility hookups. There are privacy fences separating the sites. Very easy in and out. We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sterling Crest RV Park, Texarkana, Arkansas

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is just off the I-30 frontage road. Easy in and out. The park appeared to be entirely gravel. Our site was level with convenient utilities. Friendly office staff. The dog walk area appears to be the park leaching field. We camped at Sterling Crest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice site, concrete pad with convenient utilities. One of the attractions of this park is the barge traffic on the Mississippi. Unfortunately there was none while we were there possibly because of low river levels. The biggest drawback to this park is the entrance roadway which is a little iffy for a large motor home. Friendly office staff. Were escorted to our site. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.

Junction/North Llano River RV Park, Junction, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A delightful little park. Our site was long enough to accommodate the motorhome plus toad without uncoupling. It was level with a concrete patio and a huge grass area to the side. The river was dry. Deer wandered the park at night. Very helpful owner and office staff who will deliver pecan wood to the site for a bonfire. Park has a controlled access system. We extended our stay. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Motorhome.
