WillowWind RV Park, Hurricane, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in site #120, which was perfect. Most sites have trees on both sides of the site with plenty of shade. The trees are trimmed high enough that they don't scratch the RVs, and the concrete pads have enough room for a sitting area outside your coach. They are in the process of updating a second bathroom and shower building. The grounds are grassy and well maintained. It is a beautiful, quiet park in the midst of awesome sceneries. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Zion for a tour of the park, AND in driving range to the best bakery we have tried in a long time, Croshaw's Gourmet Pies in St. George. We highly recommend the pecan pie. The crusts are very light and flaky. A great assortment of pies, from pot pies to dessert pies.

The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds, Pleasanton, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Positives=Location of Park, Location of Dumpsters, Proximity to BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit rail system)& Friendly personnel

Negatives= Has a long list of rules & regulations that ARE NOT enforced. Cars & Trucks are parked every which way on the roads creating maneuvering problems (especially for big rigs)

Grounds are not maintained, weeds, grassy areas are not cut

Recommended dog areas are full of stickers hurting dog paws

We were there for several days and lost electricity twice. Solution was to jiggle or use neighbors 50 AMP service.

Sites are very close together & far from being level..... We camped at The Fair Park RV - Alameda County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Sayre City Park Campground, Sayre, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This park has very long sites. Although they are gravel, they are level and well maintained. The grassy areas were cut & clean. The long sites all have concrete picnic tables & benches. It is right off I-40. Easy on/off, and the price is a true value. We will definitely stay here again when traveling through this area. We camped at Sayre City Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Sallisaw / Fort Smith West KOA, Sallisaw, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is the nicest KOA we have ever stayed at. The owner was very helpful, and has put a lot of work into upgrading the comforts of this park. The sites are gravel, but level and well maintained, spacious, and although there are trees, the limbs have been kept cut. We were in site #6, and had good angle for satellite. The dog walk area is perfect, grass cut and cleared next to a nature trail. We even saw a couple of rabbits in the dog walk area. We would definitely stay here again when in area. We camped at Sallisaw / Fort Smith West KOA in a Motorhome.

Campground at Barnes Crossing, Tupelo, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was our 1st stay at this park, and it was a pleasant surprise. The setting is beautiful, many trees, shrubs & plants, bird houses, squirrels, etc. Very relaxing. Some sites are more satellite friendly, so the best of both worlds. Owners very helpful. In fact, we had an issue with our coach, and the owner has an RV service center a few miles away. He was able to take us in and repair 1st thing Monday morning. We camped at Campground at Barnes Crossing in a Motorhome.

Prince William Forest RV Campground, Dumfries, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very convenient to the Washington area. Right off I-95. The park is very nice for small RVs. They have just lengthened 5 or 6 sites to accommodate big rigs, but they are not level. Jacks and air bags could not even come close to leveling our 45 ft MH. Staff was very friendly, and the park is lovely. Would love to stay here again, but sites would need improvement. We camped at Prince William Forest RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent overnight park. Easy on/off I-95. Very clean, well maintained. New ownership is taking pride is cleaning and maintaining. Although not paved, sites are long and level. This is our 2nd stay here, and we will definitely use this park in our travels north. We camped at Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA) in a Motorhome.

Whitten Park COE, Fulton, Mississippi

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This was our 2nd time staying in this COE. It is beautiful. We were in site #56, which has an extended patio area with picnic table and backs up to the river. The sites are level and the setting for all are great for peaceful enjoyment of the change of season. The price reflects senior pass. We camped at Whitten Park COE in a Motorhome.

Santa Rosa RV Resort, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Since this is a new park, it is very clean and level. The staff was friendly & helpful. The 1st draw back is the entrance. Coming from the West, it is impossible to see. Realty office on the side obscures entrance view until you have already passed it. 2nd is Wi-Fi service is practically non-existent, 3rd is it is right on heavily traveled hi-way and noise is constant, and 4th the doggie area is nothing but a scrap of ground left after construction of the park. Full of sandy weedy stickers. Small stickers hurting dogs paws, etc. We have stayed at other parks in the area, and based on price and all of the above, we will not be back. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This resort is by far the most beautiful RV resort we have ever stayed in. The quiet, peaceful atmosphere surrounded by clean, well maintained private sites are just one of the great features. The close proximity of walking/bike paths, beach, shopping, etc. make this a must see resort. The office staff are not very customer friendly, but we don't spend much time in the office, so the park itself makes up for the short time spent with unfriendly personnel. We will definitely be back. We camped at Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Quail Run RV Resort, Wesley Chapel, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This park was very quiet and clean. The rate reflects Good Sam discount at a weekly rate. We were in site #256, and really enjoyed the privacy and cleanliness. This park seems to have many retirees and full-timers, but all sites were clean and well maintained. The showers and bathroom were old, but it looks like they are in the process of building new facilities. The only negative we found was the laundry facility. Out of 10 washers, 5 were out of order, and the same ratio applied to the dryers. But they are in the process of building a new facility for this also. We would stay here again. Nice and quiet, pretty old moss hanging trees, and friendly people throughout. We camped at Quail Run RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Orlando / Kissimmee KOA, Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2012 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very clean and well maintained. Even the dog walk and dog park were clean. The people were all very friendly and helpful. We would have given a 10, but the location next to busy highway and businesses was a little troubling at first, but once settled in, we felt safe and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again when in this area. We camped at Orlando / Kissimmee KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Capital City RV Park, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2012 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

As previously stated, the sites are level and wide. Streets are well marked. Wi-Fi is not reliable, and the "Bark Park" is large and would be a nice place to let dogs run loose, if it weren't for the fact that evidently the area is never cleaned. It was full of dog excrement. Management was unfriendly. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ripplin Waters Campground, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was friendly, but the campground is not very well maintained. The grass immediately out our door was tall and needed to be cut. All the grass surrounding our site needed to be cut. Other areas that had been cut were full of dried grass clippings. As a result, taking pets out was messy. The sites are gravel, and ours was not level. This is a nice place for an overnight, but not longer. May be better if you have no pets. We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Topsail Hill State Preserve, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This park is the best of all worlds. Not your typical concrete RV park. Clean, wooded, creating much privacy and beach access. There was always friendly park staff around maintaining the grounds, etc. We were here for 1 week, and look forward to our next visit. We camped at Topsail Hill State Preserve in a Fifth Wheel.
