Country Acres Campground, Gordonville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

I liked this park, especially the large sites in the back. It is located right on the main road but you would never know it. The managers were friendly and the park was spotless. We are staying the whole week next year. Sites in the back are fine for big rigs also. No problem bringing the family pet either. Very relaxing. We camped at Country Acres Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lancaster / New Holland KOA , New Holland, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is clean and well kept with beautiful views of the Amish farmland below. With the exception of one of the owners, what a condescending and rude individual for a campground owner. They say pets are welcome, but they in no way make you or your pet feel comfortable. They have more dog rules than you can shake a stick at. Your pooch makes ANY sound whatsoever and the Bark Police are calling your cell phone and banging on your door. Totally uncalled for. I enjoyed my stay but will not return. We were told we had to make other arrangments for our pet in order to be welcome. I thought something was up when we went to such a nice place on a busy weekend and the place was half empty. By the way our pet is a 6 pound Maltese, not a big or noisy dog. These folks have something to learn about customer service. But since this is America I'll exercise my rights and take my business to the campground down the street . We camped at Lancaster / New Holland KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

Great place right on the ocean with Tiki Bar next door. I like the fact we are camped just beyond the dunes. The only drawback of campgrounds like this, is that while its nice to have golf carts available for rent, kids drive them around day and night. While they have security in the area, I've never seen anyone say anything to people driving wildly after dark. For me the rental golf carts could go the way of the dinosaurs. We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lakewood Camping Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Lakewood is a very nice campground with a private beach, we generally stay within a stones throw of the beach that way the wife can stay out on the beach all day and me and the dog can get a nap.The only complaint with them is those annoying rental golf carts. Kids riding them around all the time becomes a problem after dark. We camped at Lakewood Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
