I'm tired of these hot spring resorts that are just so busy. If you are with the family and want lots of activity around the pool, you'll love this place (and every other hot springs). If you are looking for a quiet place and a little room around the pool, this isn't the place. The operators were nice enough, but its a hotel with some RV sites; therefore its operated like a hotel. I prefer the owner-operated campsites. Sites are also quite tight together. We didn't even get into the pool, just too many people and too much going on. Again, if you like that.

Hah! I was here at the same time and I experienced the same thing; a rope across the road for the dog to run on. The dog was sitting in the middle of the road. We were trying to leave but had to wait for the owner to get out of his lawn chair, go out and get the dog out of the way, and lift the rope up so we could drive through! But besides that, we liked the campsite. We really liked the swimming hole just below the site, walking distance, which was picturesque and a great place to spend the afternoon. The people were friendly (owners), and the sites were a decent size. Christina Lake is worth visiting, the problem is that most parks really squeeze them in that are located around the lake. At Cascade you have more privacy and its not as busy.

We liked this place. Right on Kootenay lake, quiet, nice operators. We spent five days here and could have spent more time. We were fortunate, we had a spot right in front of the lake, but those off the lake (not far) are nice as well. Its on our list to go back, if we are in the area.
