Pros: Paved streets, level concrete sites, nice and friendly staff, nice clean restrooms and laundry. Close to Lake Conroe and restaurants, Wal-Mart, etc. Cons: Tengo Internet (off more than on). Lake is full of hydrilla. And there is a 6" to 8" curb that you have to run over to get your rig into your site. Park rules say that you are responsible for killing ants on your site and they are everywhere. Dogs allowed to run loose and bark all the time even though the rules say that it is not allowed. Many noisy guests on the weekends in tents and the rental cabins. Parties all night.

The park is close to the Outlet Malls and other shopping. Wi-Fi was OK and the staff friendly. There is a moderate level of noise from trains, I-35, and a heavy industry next door, however, it did not bother me. The sites are fairly level and some are concrete and pull through. There are some long term residents but the rigs are kept neat and tidy. There are two small dog runs and a playground. There is no club house to speak of but the showers are fairly nice. I will stay here again.

This is the second year that I have stayed here. It is even better than last year since they have added an on site office with managers on duty from 9 to 6 daily. Adjacent to LBJ Ranch Park. 15 Miles to Fredricksburg which has a lot of "Hill Country" shopping.

We really enjoyed this park. It is just a couple of blocks off I84 and is neat and quiet. Sites are level and large enough. Each site has grass and at least one small tree. The park has long term and short term guests segregated in different sections. The owners were helpful and nice. The owner has a large garden and often shares fresh vegetables with his guests. I was impressed with the owner when I mentioned that the sprinkler system was hitting my RV and he replaced the sprinkler heads the very next day. WOW. Caldwell is 10 miles with a Wal-Mart etc. and Ontario OR is 17 miles. A convenience store and station is 1 block away. I will definitely stay here again. I would have rated a 10 if stores weren't so far away.

Pros - great store, manager very helpful, close to Mt Rainier and Seattle, sites are fairly level and large, parts of the park are very nice, great cable TV Cons - Management requires you to sign a 5 page contract, Owner operates tractor throughout the park daily, owner has many disagreements with tenants, dusty, many permanent trailers that are a little messy, internet costs extra, is slow, and is by a third party, some questionable people in the park at night, they require that you have your doggie bag out and visible when walking your pet, no dog area I enjoyed my stay here but felt that it would be easy to get in an argument with the manager who, in my opinion means well but is quick to anger.

I agree with the other reviewers about the park being very clean and the staff friendly. The park is on top of a hill (which is out of the Tsunami Hazard Zone) and some distant views of the ocean are available from some sites. My only reason for not giving this park a 10 is the "free internet" service. It is provided by the same provider as many of the parks that I have stayed at, but this park has some bad twists. It limits you to a certain amount of data and after that shuts you down to dial up speed. Worse than that it just chops you off whenever it chooses to make you to agree to their terms and conditions. This usually happens at least once per day. My wife cried when she had been working on an internet greeting card for her mom and was almost done and CHOP. Lost it all so that they could get us to agree to their terms and conditions for the 20th time. Otherwise, great park in a great area.

The park is well maintained and clean. The sites range in size but many will accommodate a 40 foot rig. I did have trouble parking my truck and my 38 foot 5th wheel at my site. Cable TV was not too good but the views of the jetty area and harbor are great. Sites are almost level and need only a little leveling. Some sites are for head in motorhome parking only. The small town of Winchester Bay is charming and we liked some of the restaurants. The AC voltage on 50 amps seemed to fluctuate from a low of 113 volts to 120 volts. Management was friendly and responsive. I will stay here again. My only concern is about the salt spray from the crashing waves nearby but that goes with an ocean view.

This is a great park! The sites are long and wide enough. Most are pull-through but the back-ins are nice also. 30 and 50 amp and voltage is good. Very quiet. Needed to level side to side a little. Rec Room is the best I have seen. Huge covered porch with rocking chairs. Park is very well maintained and adjacent to a good restaurant. Wi-Fi is good. AT&T cell phone reception is OK. Sewer connection requires a 20 foot connection. Also close to a general store and post office. LBJ ranch is about 1 mile, Fredricksburg is 15 miles with Wal Mart, museum, and plenty of shopping. Not much to see in Stonewall. Office is across the busy highway but once you are checked in, it is OK. Management is friendly. Austin is 70 miles, San Antonio is 84 miles. Monthly rates are great. I loved our stay here.

We stayed here for a month while we photographed the area. The park is divided into upper (RV Full Hook Ups) and Lower (Electric only). The Lower campground is nicely shaded and on Chalk Creek. The upper campground is partially shaded and has pull through's and back in's. There is a small irrigation stream that flows between some of the sites in the upper campground. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and the park is immaculate. There is a small store, game room, and the WiFi works well. There are pot lucks and some other activities on busy weekends. We felt very welcome here and would definitely stay here again. One of the best parks that I have stayed in.

Management is very friendly and efficient. Park is quiet and well maintained. There is no dog walk even though they are "pet friendly". Their WI-FI disconnects frequently and needs to be reset by park administrators. Otherwise WI-FI works well. Work campers are not as friendly as the owners. Nice ATV riding adjacent to the park. Monthly rates available as well as firewood, laundry and fire pits. Park is 43 miles away from Rocky Mountain National Park.

This is a nice State Park. It is a little tight for large 5th wheels with some low tree limbs. The sites are nice but not very level.
