San-Suz-Ed RV Park, West Glacier, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Super friendly owners. Very helpful with excellent knowledge of area and things to do and places to eat. Great knowledge of the park and surrounding areas. Campground very clean and the grounds are nicely and very well manicured. Nice sites in the trees too. Good spacing. Campfire every night for nearly three hours but no fire pits at sites. The 'general' campfire was fun as we got to meet other campers. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Close to everything I need, good price, nice grounds, great people! We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Barr Lake Campground, Brighton, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Although the space was nicely sized, this campground was, well, awful. I called to make the reservation and asked about Internet at the site. She said yes, they have it but it could fade in and out. Well, there was none at the site. I had to get it in the office which closed early-ish, but was also available outside the office door. Sitting in the rain to get Internet was an issue. Also asked if there was a tornado shelter as Denver airport just had one and it was about 10 to 15 minutes away. She said the office was the shelter. However it closes at night so it's a shelter only during the day! This campground was extremely noisy with trains going by at least once an hour, including the middle of the night, all night. It is located about a half block from I-76 so the truck noise goes on all night. The place is not neat as it has probably 90% permanent residents which store junk all over the place. I would not stay at this 'campground' again, nor would I recommend it. I could stay elsewhere for the same or less money and I would. We camped at Barr Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

North Park Campground, Dickinson, North Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This campground was just OK. When we checked in, we were not given a map even though there was a pad of them on the counter. She took me to a wall and showed me a map. This might be because the map was outdated. All I read said there were 63 sites, but there were 55 on our road alone and there are at least four more roads. They advertise wireless access but it is the slowest speed I've ever used. Speed tests indicated it was around 1Mbps. It cut out continually no matter where we tried to use it in the park. We finally gave up on using it. I would think with the number of sites occupied in this park, they could better internet service. The park was quiet. We got about 5 TV stations with our antenna as there is no cable. I would try another park before I stayed here again. We camped at North Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp Bell Campground, Campbell, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This great park is close to Corning and Watkins Glenin New York. We found the park clean, well-maintained, and extremely customer service oriented. On the day we were to leave, we wok up to a flat tire. The owner told us where to take it for quick service, and he was right. It is a beautiful and relaxing park. Our original stay was just two nights but we enjoyed it so that we stayed an additional two. If we had not had commitments, we would have stayed a few more days. We are already planning a longer stay for next summer. We camped at Camp Bell Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
