Memphis KOA , Marion, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

A little tight for big rigs. Breakfast just OK. Stayed 4 nights to tour Memphis, with the river overflowing the campground we wanted was not available. No Cable TV and slow wi-fi for $$$, deducts points. Offramps in Arkansas don't give much warning and can be tricky. Noise = ear plugs recommended for Train noise. We camped at Memphis KOA in a Motorhome.

Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA, Checotah, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly owners & staff, good food, nicely forested, wi-fi weak and slow, but no cable TV makes it a little overpriced. An honest rating of eight. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Motorhome.

RVacation RV Park, Selma, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with previous assessments - slow wi-fi, noisy but very clean. Not many local attractions around this area. Finding any quiet campgrounds convenient to major roads/rails is almost impossible - so we learn to use ear plugs for a good night sleep. I think a true rating is a seven. We camped at RVacation RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent new campground. New young plants but no shade. With the prevailing wind, there is no road noise. The only problem we had was the voltage, of the dozen power stands I tested, was too low at 97-99 volts to allow our Surge Guard to provide power to our coach. I forgot to bring our Autoformer to step up voltage. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fountain of Youth Spa, Niland, California

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The Fountain of Youth is properly named. When you are physically active, you will stay young. It is an older park, well maintained and actually 'hyper active'. Many very friendly Canadians here. Unbelievable number of active friendly and happy people here. In a way, I hope too many people don't find this marvelous place. A rating of 8 is probably low for what this place can do for your health. We camped at Fountain of Youth Spa in a Motorhome.

Eugene Kamping World RV Park, Coburg, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

What others have said is basically true - an old KOA that's a little run down, but clean. Given the price it's true rating is 7 because of quietness. We opt for this campground over the expensive better rated ones because of road noise. I hate feeling miserable next day because of traffic noise not allowing proper sleep. We camped at Eugene Kamping World RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blue Ox RV Park, Albany, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

For the price this is more of a 9. Very clean - QUIET enough to sleep. Mixture of seniors and youth without being obnoxious. Wi-Fi can be spotty buy air cards work well. 40' Motor home Ok 45' maybe to tight for comfort? We camped at Blue Ox RV Park in a Motorhome.

Crown Villa RV Resort, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Resort - a little pricey ($55-93.50) but very hard to find a better park. The small jacuzzi is adequate but way to much chlorine (Rinse well afterwards or itch all night). The park is very relaxing amongst the beautiful mature trees. At this time - the developer will continue operating the park until the housing market improves. We camped at Crown Villa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very quiet & clean park - lots of workcampers / fulltimers. Great place to sightsee Mt. St. Helens and all visitor centers, when clear weather. Would stay again if in the area. We camped at Brookhollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Valley of the Rogue State Park, Gold Hill, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here several times and will be back. It does have some traffic and train noise - but not enough to wake you up. WIFI does cost about $4 /day with a very weak signal (not worth it). We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Motorhome.

Seven Feathers RV Park, Canyonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2007 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This new 20 million dollar park is very impressive! Spotless Facilities. It rivals most high line destination resorts that cost $80+/night. ONE WARNING! Gusts of winds have taken off over 48 awnings since opening and automatic awning closers will not protect against sudden gusts. Don't leave your RV with awning out for any length of time. The pools have a little to much chlorine but overall a Great experience. Will return! We camped at Seven Feathers RV Park in a Motorhome.

Jack's Landing RV Resort, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2006 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Fairly New Park very clean with grass area around level cement pads and picnic tables. Not many full time residences. Very Friendly & helpful staff. Very impressive cable TV selections as well as the overall appearance of the RV park. No WiFi yet (working on it) and near Interstate 5 with some road noise (not bad - at least NO trains). These are only reasons it does not rate a 10. We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Premier RV Resorts of Eugene Oregon, Coburg, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2006 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This is definitely an 8+. Wi-Fi $5 - Rates increased & slight traffic noise - next to Interstate 5 which is busy. At least no trains! Good attitudes by park workers. Improvements happening. Great overall quality. Like pointed out before - not a destination resort but good availability to food & shopping 6 miles down the road in Eugene. We camped at Premier RV Resorts of Eugene Oregon in a Motorhome.

Mazama Village (NPS Campground), Crater Lake National Park, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2005 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean & well run. There are a 'few' electrical hookups on loop F. There are many upgrades happening in Crater Lake area - should be great. Good general store - reasonable Gas & Propane. A wonderful trail (Annie Springs trail) right behind CG. I highly recommend taking the early tour boat on Crater Lake. Get off on Wizard Island, stay all day - take your lunch - hike the crater & swim in the lake, makes this an unforgettable experience. Truly a wonderous area. Maybe I should not have posted this report. I don't like crowds. We camped at Mazama Village (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.
