Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park, Astoria, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice quiet park that sits up against a golf course. There's a large grass area the size of a football field in the center of the park, great place for the pets. Sites are gravel, with grass on the sides. Hosts are very friendly. Wifi worked well. Clear views for Sat reception. We camped at Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Jack's Landing RV Resort, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

I've stayed at this park several times over the last few years. It's a nicely landscaped park. Spaces are somewhat close to each other. The downside to this park is the road noise which is very noticeable outside. Once you leave the hiway you must go a few blocks and then double back to the park because of one way streets. It's well marked and not a problem. Wifi worked well, and Direct TV Sat was not a problem. We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lake Minden RV Resort - Thousand Trails, Nicolaus, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for an overnight, not a member. Was led to believe there were 50amp service, found out only 30 amp. Also was told WIFI was available. That's true, but only at the office area. I was told to find a spot in the back area, which is a good 1/2 mile from the office. Roads are dirt/gravel and very dusty. Lots of full timers. One place had junk piled up around it and was surrounded by a chicken wire fence. The overall condition of the park was fair at best. When I went to open the electrical box to plug in, the cover came off in my hand. I would never stay here again. We camped at Lake Minden RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve, Santee, California

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

I've stayed at this park several times in the last few years. It's a great location. Staff is friendly. Sites are very large. Wifi works great. I do wish they would install a concrete patio area at each site. When it rains, you track the sand into your RV. Would be nice to have a concrete patio to pull up next to, instead of the wet sand. Other than that, I really like this park. We camped at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve in a Motorhome.

Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park, Astoria, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This park sits up against a very beautiful golf course. There's lots of grass everywhere. A huge dog exercise area. Very quiet here. The owners/managers in the front office are extremely nice and very helpful in letting you know about area attractions. Just a few minutes drive to most of the local attractions. We camped at Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Moss Landing KOA Express, Moss Landing, California

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

I've stayed at this park several times over the last few years and rate it as one of my favorites. The location is great, a short walk to the beach and several restaurants. A 25 minute drive north and you're in Santa Cruz or go south for 25 minutes and you're in Monterey. The hosts were very friendly. The park itself has always been very clean. It is a little tight and not a lot of room between sites. Nice concrete pads. Wi-Fi is free and worked fine, other then seemed a little slow at times. Only reason I don't give this park a 10 is, it's a little pricey and the size of the sites. We camped at Moss Landing KOA Express in a Motorhome.

Flag City RV Resort, Lodi, California

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Sometimes I wonder who actually designs RV parks. Overall this is a nice park with a couple of exceptions. First the hookups are to the rear of the concrete pads, hence you must unhook your tow vehicle or it will be in the street. Also the concrete pads are somewhat narrow. They have widened them out, but could be wider. Also, they have a small concrete extension for the tables, but these are near the rear of the pads too. Last time I was here, there was a fair amount of weeds between the pads. Would be nice if they just planted grass in these areas, and forget about the shrubs and ground cover. The park has nice paved roadways, and a huge grass area for a dog run. We camped at Flag City RV Resort in a Motorhome.

French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course, Manteca, California

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Paved roadways, concrete pads. The pads are very narrow, in fact I measured them at 11 feet and the entries are off fairly narrow roadways and at very sharp angles. I couldn't maneuver into the first site. Also each site has large rocks painted yellow at each corner. I hit one of them and did some minor fiberglass damage. If I knew then what I know now, I would have moved them, they're big, but they're actually light weight rocks, and can be moved easily. It was a real pain getting my 40 foot motorhome into a site. I don't know how anyone with a bigger motorhome or trailer would do it. Why they made them so narrow, I don't know, because there's grass between the sites, allowing for wider pads. Lot's of grass, 75% green 25% brown. Looks like a fair amount of full timers here too. No cable yet. Office said Wi-Fi is very difficult to connect to. They said "just keep trying and if you can't connect, call this number" I was able to connect right off, signal is low, but speed isn't bad. Appears the pool is nice. This is very near my home, and I have wanted to give it a try, I doubt I will be back, but probably isn't bad for an overnight for someone traveling Hwy 99 which is about 1/2 mile to the east. We camped at French Camp RV Park Resort & Golf Course in a Motorhome.

Lake Pleasant RV Park, Bothell, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

My experience at this park was just opposite of the previous posters. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I kept extending my stay and they managed to keep me in my site so I didn't have to move. Park was clean and nicely kept. Wifi was weak but useable. Some sites have trees blocking Sat reception, so be aware of that. I will stay here again. Nicest park in the area. Only about 10 minutes to Kenmore Air seaplane base on north shore of Washington Lake. We camped at Lake Pleasant RV Park in a Motorhome.

Jack's Landing RV Resort, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is the third time I've stayed at this park. The park is very nicely landscaped and is spotless. Sites are level and have sufficient space between them. Access to the highway is easy. Shopping and city center is nearby. The only downside to this park is the closeness of the highway. There is traffic noise, and is somewhat noticeable. Hopefully when the trees get bigger they'll help reduce the noise. I will stay here again. We camped at Jack's Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Prado Regional Park, Chino, California

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice place to stay with a couple of exceptions. Sites are spread apart and most are pull throughs. The downside to this place is, the flies were terrible when I was here, not to mention the other flying insects. The other problem was the odor from the neighboring dairy. I understand the dairy has been sold and will be removed, that should help with the fly's and odor. This will make this park closer to a 10 rating in the future. We camped at Prado Regional Park in a Motorhome.

Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve, Santee, California

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is the second time I've stayed here. This park is very clean. It has a country feel to it, yet downtown San Diego is only about 15-20 minutes away. Check the park's website for all the things to do here. When touring the area today, I stopped in and checked out other parks that are closer to downtown, but in my opinion, none rate as high as Santee Lakes, especially when factoring in the fees. Also has free wifi. I'll be back. We camped at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve in a Motorhome.

Moss Landing KOA Express, Moss Landing, California

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $85.00
Overall Rating:

I've stayed at this park several times in the last couple of years. I would have rated this park a 10 with my previous visits, but with the new prices and wifi not working, I rate it lower. It's now a KOA and new prices go into effect 7-07. The prices are different for weekends, holidays, weekdays, and with reservations, will be in the $80 range. The park is in a nice location, but with that price, I'm sorry to say, I'll be looking for somewhere else. The park has always been spotless, but I did notice this time, weeds growing and the lawn hadn't been mowed, still a nice place. I was also informed their off season 3 nights for the price of 2 will not longer be offered. We camped at Moss Landing KOA Express in a Motorhome.
