Carpinteria State Beach, Carpinteria, California

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here one night in September before Labor Day in an ocean view full hookup site. The sites are close together, but that's to be expected. Lots of kids everywhere having fun, a great family atmosphere. We enjoyed riding our bikes into town for dinner, and thought the campground was great. Camp hosts and park employees were very helpful. The camp host even delivered firewood to our door. We parked the motorhome and just used our bikes. Can't wait to go back. We camped at Carpinteria State Beach in a Motorhome.

El Capitan State Beach, Goleta, California

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We spent Labor Day Weekend there. The campsites are large, lots of trees, very hilly campground. The loops at the top of the campground are quite far from the beach. Bathrooms were stocked daily, great hot showers, busy campground but fun. The beach was very nice, and there is a small general store for supplies. We also rode our bikes up to El Capitan Canyon for lunch at their deli. We camped at El Capitan State Beach in a Motorhome.

Mather Campground (NPS Campground), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Great big campground within walking distance of the free shuttle bus system. We camped in a large pull through site up near the top of the campground. The sites are large and very quiet. Be aware, though, the campground is hilly, and we were quite tired walking uphill from the shuttle stop. Next time, we'll try to get a site closer to the entrance. Beautiful location. Can't wait to go back! We camped at Mather Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.
