Tips for other Campers:

Very convenient to ball fields if you need/want that. Also, just a short drive into Cooperstown itself to see the sights-especially the Hall of Fame. Not a very far distance to visit the Ommegang Brewery as well.

MacLeod's Beach Campground, Dunvegan, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

My first comment involves the entry road to the campground-horrendously long and dusty! Secondly, I had called for a full hookup site. In Canada you must request a two way or three way. Our "full hookup" was a 15 amp electric provided by a long extension cord and a water connection which took about 50' of hose. We were escorted to the "site" by a very nice gentleman but the site was no more than a grassy patch on a very unlevel slope. Most sites are seasonal and very few sites are available for travelers. They are adding on but chances are those will be seasonal sites as well. We camped here as a base to drive the Cabot Trail. We camped at MacLeod's Beach Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Drive the Cabot Trail without your RV! On the way up Hwy. 19 be sure to stop at Judique where the Celtic Interpretive Center is located. Great music, great lunch. Also, the Glenora Distillery was a nice tour. Again, provided a nice lunch with excellent music.

Bar Harbor Campground, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park has great access to Bar Harbor, Trenton and Ellsworth. There was a shuttle available although we did not use it. A very fair price for the area. We tucked in among the trees with our 19' Airstream and it was quiet and peaceful. Be aware , reservations are not accepted and payment is cash or check. We camped at Bar Harbor Campground in a Travel Trailer.
