A tale of two personalities. We are seasonal campers and have paid for a premium lot for the last few years at Long Lake Park Campground. We were at the campground a total of eight years. The campground is clean and facilities are better than most. The lot sizes average unless your willing to fork out $2,600 a year for a premium lot as we did. The people in our area of the campground were nice. We did not use any of the campgrounds facilities but they are better than most. The lake was nice but we only occasionally used this as well. They have occasional entertainment which again was not in our interest but seemed to be enjoyed. As others have mentioned if you have pets - this is definitely not a pet friendly campground. We had dogs and paid extra fees for them. New rules are published via a private Facebook Group - then distributed via paper, at least that is our experience. The owners have a dictatorial management style which they can do since they own the campground. The general rule is your pet is not allowed off your campsite. You may not walk a pet in the campground, at all. Pets are also not allowed in golf carts. They must stay on your campsite. Of course pets must be on a leash at all times. We personally observed that of course rules are not applied evenly to everyone. If the owners liked you then rules could be and would be overlooked. There are many rules and additional fees but likely not that much different from most campgrounds. My synopsis of Long Lake Park Campground is this. A beautiful campground in a nice setting with nice sized lots. The Camp Ground itself is better than most. However, because of the owners it is not worth the price at any cost. We camped at Long Lake Park in a Travel Trailer.
