Mt Magazine is a beautiful state park. The sites are spacious and shady. Campground is paved. The hiking trails are nice. We bring 4-wheelers and ride the multi use trails.

This was a great campground. The sites were large and spacious. Everything was in good shape. There were areas closed that had been damaged by recent flooding but the sites that were open were very nice. Our site had a good amount of shade. The pool was closed but our kids had fun on the playground and wading in the spring. The bathhouse appeared to be fairly new and was clean. The park ranger and park staff patrolled the area throughout the day each day. There were also park activities daily. Bring your tennis rackets, there are tennis courts available.

This park is under new ownership. The owners were super friendly and helpful. They came by as we were setting up and again each day to make sure everything was OK. The bathrooms and showers were clean. They're showing a little age but still clean. The only drawbacks were being close enough to the highway that I could hear traffic noise and not a great playground for my toddler to play. My older kids enjoyed the playground though. There are other sites in the campground that are away from the highway. We didn't use the pool but it was super clean and looked really nice.
