I agree with everything reported in the previous post with the addition that once again we experienced a power outage at 3:30 AM and it wasn't restored until after we left at 10:30 AM. The main problem with power outages at this park, is that there is no water pressure! The sanitary system also works on electricity. We were hopeful that there would be marked improvement from last year, but were disappointed.

We have been coming to this park for many years. The restaurant is closed. The golf course is in deplorable shape. The Cable TV is terrible. Staff is friendly, pool is open. Park intends to expand, thus making the golf course 9 holes from 18. Lawns are dry, obviously the economy has hit this place too!

We were looking forward to being right on the river and reserved site 29, River was about 12' across. The other river front sites had a view of a wooded cyclone fence. Cable TV is excellent. With a big rig you need to be very careful in this park. Verizon doesn't work, Cingular does. Electricity was ample. Satellite service works best if you have one of the pull-throughs in the Center RV area. Grounds were well-maintained. Swimming pool was being filled during our stay. This is a really nice place for families to tent camp on the grassy area by the "big" river. Would stay here again with site preferences

A pleasant getaway. Close to downtown Calistoga. Campground is level, large pull-throughs in front section. 9 hole golf course adjacent to RV area. Covered area with benches for BBQ. Large room available for group functions through fair grounds. Campground host is very friendly and helpful.

I agree with the previous post. The ladies in the office would rather be somewhere else. They are extremely stoic and make you feel like they are doing you a favor. We have stayed here on many occasions in the past. The place is a gold mine and they are taking advantage by raising the rates to $29.00 with a cash or check discount. Sometimes success ruins a business. We will be looking for an alternate to this place in the future.

The main streets in the campground have been oiled and rocked which is a major improvement. We stayed here three nights with the coupon from RV Journal. This was the third year a group has gone together and the reservations were messed up. Reservations were made two and a half months in advance. Our group was spread all over the park. Although I like this place, they will be under the KOA starting in February which means the rates will go up. Oh, well.
