This campground is in a quiet, peaceful, wooded setting. Somewhat rustic but nicely laid out and well kept. The staff are quite friendly and helpful. We camped at Cascade Lake Recreation Area & Campground in a Motorhome.

Hagan-Stone City Park, Pleasant Garden, North Carolina

Date of Stay: February, 2006 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

This "Greensboro City Park" is a real treat located away from the urban sprawl of Greensboro. Sites are reasonably sized and are located in both wooded and clear areas, giving you a choice of shade or sun. The bath house was clean. We will return when in the area. We camped at Hagan-Stone City Park in a Tent Trailer.

Dan River Campground, Stoneville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2006 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small campground off the beaten path in Rockingham county. It is fairly well kept, though the 'office' isn't always staffed and isn't well stocked with supplies. The bath house was fairly clean. We will consider returning in the future We camped at Dan River Campground in a Tent Trailer.

RVacation RV Park, Selma, North Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2006 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a neatly kept little campground immediately adjacent to I-95. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the bathhouse was clean. Traffic noise was an issue for us since we were in a pop-up with no sound insulation. We will consider returning (especially now that we have a motorhome). We camped at RVacation RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Rocky Hock Campground, Edenton, North Carolina

Date of Stay: December, 2005 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a new CG and the owner goes to a lot of trouble to make his guests welcome. Overall it is clean and well kept, however since they're just starting out it's still a little rough around the edges. Their prices are very reasonable and reflect the owner's effort to attract new business. They are the only CG in the area that I've been able to find, however they should not be considered a 'last resort' by any means. I've stayed there twice this year (for 3 nights each) and would not hesitate to go back again. We camped at Rocky Hock Campground in a Tent Trailer.
