Beaver KOA, Beaver, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Came for overnight. Had trouble with levelers. Staff very helpful in trying to find us some help. Once it was determined we would have to stay longer, we were able to move to a new site.

First site (47) was advertised as long enough so would not have to unhook tow, but not so. Second site (5) plenty long to leave tow hook if necessary. We were already unhooked, but had enough space to park the car behind the motor home. Staff friendly and helpful. Sites gravel. Easy in and out. We camped at Beaver KOA in a Motorhome.

Kanab RV Corral, Kanab, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Older park convenient to town and driving distance to Zion and Bryce Canyon. Level gravel sites. Some shade. WiFi great. Had trouble with electricity a couple of times, but overall, adequate. Voltage meter showed marginal and electric did kick off a couple of times, but came back on without difficulty.

Staff friendly and helpful. Quiet. Slight dip at entrance and exit, but had no trouble with either. Owners keep the place clean. We camped at Kanab RV Corral in a Motorhome.

Canyon Motel & RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Staff friendly and helpful. Area clean. Gravel sites, level. Great WiFi. Interior roads gravel and one way. Some sites are uphill, but looked easily maneuvered. Entrance seemed a little tight, but sites were wide enough, and when exiting, there was a sign in the way of checking for traffic from the right. We camped at Canyon Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly, helpful staff. Very patriotic, we arrived on Flag Day and the American Flag was everywhere. Easy in and out, right off interstate. Close to airport, so occasional small plane noise. Clean area, sites gravel, level and very spacious. Picnic table at each site. BBQ dinner and ice cream social one night. Small store with supplies and souvenirs. Would stay again if in area. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park, Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped overnight. Staff very friendly and helpful. Drive into park a little steep, but manageable. Sites close, but manageable. Our site was a tandem site, hookups for two RV's on same pedestal. Sites not level, but not bad. Had to work to level. Gravel sites. Have restaurant and will deliver to site. Would stay again if in area. We camped at Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hinton RV Park, Sikeston, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here before for overnight stop. Easy access to I-55. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a nice, level, pull through site with full hook ups. Sites plenty long for leaving toad hooked up. There is grass between the sites, but the sites are fairly close together. There are a few small trees, so not much shade, but also does not interfere with satellite reception. The park is clean and well maintained. Will probably stay here again if in area. We camped at Hinton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You can call a shuttle to the area's main attraction, Lambert's Cafe. There is a wait for just walking in off the street, but when the shuttle takes you there, the driver takes you in by the back door and seats you at a table right away.

Sky High Camping Resort, Portage, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a family run campground and sometimes the kids behind the register do not know what they are doing. We had a pull through, packed gravel FHU site which was fairly level, the front did dip slightly but did not have problems pulling forward to leave. When you pull in to register you have to make a "U" turn to get into the campground. The campground is quiet and there is no road noise since it is down country roads. This campground has an arcade room, pool & other children's activities. Reminded us of a Jellystone Park. We camped at Sky High Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

West Overlook COE, North Liberty, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Great COE park, probably the best we've stayed in. West Overlook is at base of the dam and right on the river. Sites are mostly back-in, but long with concrete pads and we had FHU. Some shade trees, but did not interfere with satellite reception. Nice quiet area. Will stay there again when in area. We camped at West Overlook COE in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Amana Colonies and other touristy places, including where James T. Kirk will be born in the future! There is fishing, if you want, with a fish cleaning station right there. For a day trip, it is about 50 miles to Dyersville where they filmed FIELD OF DREAMS and also the I-80 Truckstop, billed as the LARGEST TRUCKSTOP IN THE WORLD.

Ray Behrens COE, Monroe City, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice COE park on the Mark Twain Lake. The camping loops are about a mile or more from the gate. Gate attendants friendly and helpful. Park was clean. The roads were paved and the long pads were asphalt and a little narrow, but there is a lot of space between sites and each has a fire ring, picnic table, and lantern post. Most sites are back-in. Lots of mature trees. No sites are on or near the lake, so no view to speak of. We had a problem with our cell and internet service-NONE-even though there are cell towers in vicinity. However we discovered that area of MO is in a "Dead Zone" according to the helpful people at the Walmart in Hannibal. We camped at Ray Behrens COE in a Motorhome.

Missouri State Fair Campground, Sedalia, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed there for a Passport America Rally. It is a fairground campground, but not the nightly camping area which is at the front of the fairgrounds. We were parked in the big "rally area" with full hook ups. Have stayed there twice (both for large rallies) and both times we were parked in same area with broken electrical. Sites are grass and when it rained, several people were stuck and had to be pulled out. Were there over Jul 4 so had good view of the city fireworks. We camped at Missouri State Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

Durant / Choctaw Casino KOA, Durant, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Check-in was easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. Sites are very long, but a bit close together. Sites are all concrete with a small patio that contain a table and chairs, some table with umbrella. There was grass between the sites, but no shade. Clubhouse was beautiful and so was the pool. Will stay there again if occasion arises. We camped at Durant / Choctaw Casino KOA in a Motorhome.

Very nice park, friendly staff and workers. Sites have level concrete pads with picnic table. Some sites have shade trees. Nice views of the lake. Easy drive into town and other towns close by. Liked the security of a gate, however they did lock it early. A few long term MH in park, mostly at the premium sites which have outdoor kitchens. Would stay again when in area.
