Santa Nella RV Park, Santa Nella, California

Date of Stay: December, 2010 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Funny little park with a lot of full time residents. Great price with a Good Sam discount. Not to be missed is the Anderson's Split Pea Restaurant down the road, which is a wierd and wonderful experience all it's own. Note: the dips going into the parking lots near this Restaurant are brutal, and screwed up our mudflap and tow hitch. (We are in a 40 footer.) DON"T attempt to go in with your tow!!! We camped at Santa Nella RV Park in a Motorhome.

Barstow / Calico KOA, Yermo, California

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Great place in the desert. Nice and spread out and isolated, with a HUGE dog run area (basically beyond the fence and off into the desert as far as you can see). Nice stopping off place (for our 40 footer) to and from Las Vegas. Note: Barstow is the closest place for food/goods, and it is a 10 mile drive. We camped at Barstow / Calico KOA in a Motorhome.

San Francisco RV Resort, Pacifica, California

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

A parking lot, but the views cannot be beat. Note: you will have to pay more to look out your window at the ocean, but since it basically the only reason to stay here, it is worth it. About a 20 minute drive into San Francisco: there is evidently a bus that goes to the BART but we did not investigate this (have a tow vehicle with our 40 footer). The showers were not very clean. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Shoreline RV Park & Campground, Crescent City, California

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with the other posts: not state of the art, but far superior to the other parks in Crescent City, especially with pets. (The others really are just cramped parking lots). Spent 4 nights here staring at the ocean out the front of the coach. The owners are wonderful, even gave us a crab they had caught. Another bonus: we had some mechanical trouble, and there was a mechanic across the street who overnighted the part we needed and didn't gouge us on the price, (and he totally could have). Management even gave us our spot back and took a bit off the fee just to be nice. We will definitely stay again because of this. We camped at Shoreline RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Medford / Gold Hill KOA, Central Point, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We have been here for about a month, and will stay for the rest of my contract in November. (I am a traveling RN working down in Medford). Overall we really like the park; it is nice and quiet and clean, the people are friendly and the staff is great. Very pet friendly. Probably not great for kids, but that keeps it very quiet (good for me, as I sleep during the day to work nights). The only downside for us is that is is kind of far from work in Medford, but we have looked around the area and this seems to be the best choice for us. We would definitely stay here again. We are in a 40' RV. We camped at Medford / Gold Hill KOA in a Motorhome.
