If you stay for more than a night, try to get a site away from the housing. Our nearest neighbor was very noisy and lots of coming and going, doors slamming all night long.

Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park), Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Reservations are a joke. It's basically first come, first served. Despite making a site specific reservation (and confirming that reservation) we were moved as far away from our large group as possible. Attitude was, too bad, so sad, we're full. Site they gave us was in a park model storage area, cigarette butts all over, open sewer next to us, and trucks, boats and cars stored on the other side. Metal sticking up out of the cracked concrete. We will be going back to Mesa, just not this park. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park), Alamo, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice people run this park. Looks like they are in the middle of upgrading. Front pull through safe spacious. Easy enough to get into, nice gas station/store in front, easy to get in and out of even hooked up to trailer. Quiet at night, even with 93 running nearby. Great stop on the way to Idaho. We camped at Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Buffalo Meadows RV Park (Fort Hall Casino Campground), Fort Hall, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Since last stay 3 years ago, they've done some work. Clean sites, but packed like sardines and utility connections at the back of the sites. When you go out your door, you are stepping over neighbors hoses and cords. Quiet at night other than the air for the bathrooms running. Smokiest casino I've ever been in. Played for a bit, but had to leave because it was suffocating. Good for an overnight stop. Reservations recommended despite what it says on other sites. We camped at Buffalo Meadows RV Park (Fort Hall Casino Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Second time to stay and better than the first time. Beautiful spacious grassy sites with good views. Spacious areas for pets. Some highway noise at night, particularly in the loop on the road side. We camped at Countryside RV Park, LLC in a Fifth Wheel.

McCall is 30 minutes away, a quick day trip. Bring a fishing pole if in season. Neighbors were catching fish like crazy. Call for reservations.

River Edge Resort, Alberton, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice setting, fair amount of traffic noise from train and I90. Sites 11/12 share a sewer connection and have a drop off at the front and back that might make leveling a problem. Sites are tight for larger rigs, and the ones nearer the restaurant are a bit more spacious. Restaurant was very good, service was good as well. We camped at River Edge Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Bear Den RV Resort , Grangeville, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Great park with wonderful hosts. We would have given this park a 10, except for the dusty, noisy construction going on that we weren't told about. That and we had space specific reservations and those spaces were taken when we checked in. Of course, those were the spaces farther away from the noise and dust. Lots to see and do in the area, follow the Nez Perce trail, St. Gertrude's Monastery museum and Hell's Canyon. Gravel sites mostly level, and lots of room for your pets. We camped at Bear Den RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Boise / Meridian KOA, Meridian, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with lots of amenities. Clueless staff that have obviously never owned an RV. We couldn't get in the first site they gave us and had difficulty getting in the next one. The private residence across from the site had their stuff spread out in the driveway and road making it impossible to back in with anything longer than a tear-drop. Watched staff help a trailer park while taking him the wrong way down a road, consequently hitting the trailer next to us when he swung into the space from the wrong direction. Supposedly these were the only ones they had open, while several pull-throughs remained open all weekend as well as the space next to our friends. Sites were so narrow we couldn't put out our slide-outs without hitting the trees and your back window is 2' away from your neighbor's back window behind you. It's apparently gone to a membership park and it seems as if the transient guests get to put up with what's left. Nice place and a lovely community, but we wouldn't go back. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Carmela RV Park, Glenns Ferry, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Great park with a great manager. We played golf, ate at the restaurant and did the wine tasting. A very enjoyable 3 days with plenty to do in the surrounding area. The park has no onsite restrooms and they need a better pet area. We camped at Carmela RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
