Tremont Outdoor Resort, Townsend, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Campground was very nice. Codes for bathroom to keep non-campers from using restrooms. Roads were easy to navigate for big rigs. Called on short notice and was offered premium 50 amp sites. I should have asked but was not offered other options. Campground is scheduled for auction on October 20th. There is a campstore onsight as well as a pool in the summer. Sites on river have covered picnic tables. Includes cable. We camped at Tremont Outdoor Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Cloudland Canyon State Park, Rising Fawn, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Campground was full over the Labor Day Weekend. We camped on the West rim. Trash cans were overflowing a couple of times during the weekend however; everything was eventually handled before animals got into it. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Did not rate a 10 due to lack of WiFi and sewer connections. Camped in a travel trailer. We camped at Cloudland Canyon State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Loft Mountain Campground (NPS Campground), Elkton, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

No power or electricity on sites. Disappointed in the "pay" showers. They had 3 pay showers of which only 1 was working. The other two were in disrepair. The cost was $1.75 for a little over 5 minutes. I was camping in a hammock riding a motorcycle. Campground has added a bear box since my last stay approx 2 years ago for those that are unable to secure their food which is an added benefit. Office was closed when I arrived and closed when I left although after hours instructions were very good. We camped at Loft Mountain Campground (NPS Campground) in a Tent.

Victoria Bryant State Park, Royston, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Park was very clean and well maintained. Naturalist did a great job entertaining the younger kids with various activities throughout the day. Stayed in a trailer. Tent sites were on platforms with plenty of space inbetween. Fire ring/grill was cumbersome and not useable as a grill. Recommend bring your own grill. Did not give a 10 due to no WiFi, no sewer onsite, limited channel selections, and onsite grill. Golf Course within state park with hiking trails. We camped at Victoria Bryant State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Campground was very nice. The loop and some of thes sites are a little tight for big rigs. Bathrooms were very clean. Amenities included canoe and paddle boat rental along with several hiking trails. Had a great time enjoying the shoals below the covered bridge. AT&T Cell coverage was weak but available. No WiFi. Most sites are pull through. Trackrock Campground & Cabins, Blairsville, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Restrooms and Showers were very clean. People at the office were always very nice and friendly. All interactions with campground employees was very positive. Only reason I did not give it a 10 was due to WiFi signal in lower campground area. AT&T cell phone is spotty at best. No Cable available and TV reception is non-existent without a satellite. We camped at Trackrock Campground & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Stayed in site with no power or electricity on the lake. Good space between sites. Long walk to bathroom from site. Stayed on a Thursday night. Very few people in the park. Hosts that checked me in were very friendly. Cleanliness of bathrooms was okay. Did not use beach. Gates opened at 7am and closed at 10:30pm. Stayed 1 night. Elkmont Campground (NPS Campground), Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park that is maintained in a very natural state. Only reason for not rating a 10 is that signs indicated campground was full when there were a number of empty sites in the campground. Bathrooms near site were inoperable for 1 night however; staff were very quick in resolving the problem by the next morning. We camped at Elkmont Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Black Rock Mountain State Park , Mountain City, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Climb up was steep but worth it. Host was very helpful. Camp office was never open. Had to work with host for ice and wood. Sewer connection was located on the way out of the park next to the building for garbage. Very accessible although tight. Site also had cable TV right next to power which was a great option. We camped at Black Rock Mountain State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stone Mountain Park Campground, Stone Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Original site was not able to accommodate our 34' trailer due to downhill slope. Provided alternative which was on one of the main roads. I was disappointed in the sites based on the price. Unless you were on a premium site, some of them were not level and were fairly rough sites for the amount paid for each site. The office personnel were also not very accommodating when I told them about the original site (295) and how it would not accommodate a trailer more than 30' due to the downhill slope of the site. I asked about a site that was right across from my original site but was told it was unavailable however; there was no one on it the entire time we were there. The restrooms were clean but very hot. We camped at Stone Mountain Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Cherokee Campground, Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The owners were very nice. There were a number of leased/owned lots. The game room had air hockey and ping pong. The bathrooms were very clean and well kept. The site where we stayed, had a paved area for a picnic table. The price was very reasonable at $22 for full hook-ups, cable, wi-fi and paved area for table/chairs. We camped at Cherokee Campground in a Travel Trailer.
