Wagon Train RV Park, Canton, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

I never give a 10 where there is no trash pickup, but this park is so nice and simple it gets a 10. Bring your own amenities. Not a resort park, yet. Restful and quiet even though it is near the interstate. No trains. Finding it is a bit of a challenge, I-20 eastbound exit 533 follow access road; westbound exit 536 cross over and follow access road. Already have reservations for later this month. A park that needs our support. We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Motorhome.

Trails End RV Camp, Flint, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

First off, great owners/managers, just plain nice people. Some sites a little different; they are covered (under shelters). Most seem to live there full time and very friendly. The owners are more interested in your comfort. I just pulled along side a fence, and the owner helped me drop the towed. He said he would get the money later. Had to find his wife on day two. Would stay again. Only gave it an 8 because there are no amenities and no trash pickup. We camped at Trails End RV Camp in a Motorhome.

Arbuckle RV Resort, Sulphur, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

A nice park; needed 30 ft of sewer hose. Water pressure very high. Brand new owners last week. Very nice young couple but they know nothing about RVing. En route within a hour of arrival lady was freaking out getting my credit card info. Many labor Parker's and leave the trailer here months at a time. No pull thrus. No trash pickup. I'd stay again but I would be hesitant due to the inxperience.. We camped at Arbuckle RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort, New Braunfels, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

These people, it appears, are changing to a park model (cabin) park. They are doing a lot of repairs. Had to struggle to get to office for a receipt and then they could not provide one. They say they pickup trash bags daily. They just don't say which day is daily. RVers appear to be a necessary evil. Could be a great park, but I won't be back. We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lake Falling Star RV Resort, Dale, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This was for a rally, having stayed here before I did not give it much of a chance. But it was one of the best rallies ever. You have to work at it but everything came together. Not for a big club we only had 26 of our members present. We camped at Lake Falling Star RV Resort in a Motorhome.

New Orleans East Campground , Slidell, Louisiana

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

As an over night guest you get squat. My wife didn't like Pine Crest but it is much better. This place is run by a couple of women who would rather be somewhere else. We camped at New Orleans East Campground in a Motorhome.

Benchmark RV Park, Meridian, Mississippi

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

I know they get 10's but it really is not a ten park. In fact it really isn't in Meridian, it is in Marion, it will mess with your GPS. Owner is a nice guy, but this about nice parks. No trash pickup, small space, cable with 10 channels, lots of workers who leave early in the morning, a 10 I don't think so. We camped at Benchmark RV Park in a Motorhome.

Second time we stayed here this trip. A very nice park. We never met the owner, we just left money. Would really stay here again and again. Very wet, not their fault. We camped at Jessie Lea RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sweetwater / I-75 / Exit 62 KOA, Sweetwater, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park but the staff is typical KOA. Nickel and dime you to death. Impossible to really level a coach. Heavy rain, not their fault but effected my rating. Only connected electric and cable TV. Probably would pass on iPads again. We camped at Sweetwater / I-75 / Exit 62 KOA in a Motorhome.

Capital City RV Park, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $27.00

It is all the good remarks others have made, but Management are Dog Nazis. Dogs must go to the dog walk, even in the middle of the night. One must not stop en-route to the dog walk. Not very realistic, especially if you get the big lecture from the owner or manager while his or her dog is running loose. If don't have a dog everything is OK. Not me however, I won't even drive by the place. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cajun Palms RV Resort, Henderson, Louisiana

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Hated the place. They put a wrist bracelet on everyone like being a patient in a hospital. Large, large park with everyone running around in golf carts. Biggest hazard are speeding employees in carts. They make their money selling booze and food. Could not wait to leave. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A little pricey for what you get. Ended up here by accident as I reserved in the other park the GPS said we had arrived, I did not question it. Nice friendly owners, but my wife did not like it. May not stay again. We camped at Pine Crest RV Park in a Motorhome.
