Salt Lake City KOA, Salt Lake City, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Older established KOA and so it is a little tight coming in for today's big rigs, but is doable. They have a few big slots and a lot if you drop toad. Everything is paved. Staff is large and helpful. Good facilities for dogs with a walk along the river. Good water, current was good and wifi is strong. We decided to stay an extra day. We will stay here again as location is great to enjoy the city. We camped at Salt Lake City KOA in a Motorhome.

Sioux Falls KOA, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This place was immaculate. We were not along the edge of the highway, and with a/c running, the hiway noise was minimal. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Sioux Falls KOA in a Motorhome.

Small park with new friendly ownership. Relatively close to Battleground. Easy access. Plan to eat in as Hardin has no good place to eat. We camped at Hardin KOA in a Motorhome.

Bismarck KOA, Bismarck, North Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very nicely run park. You have to enter through a closed gate if you arrive after 6. Must have a reservation if traveling with big rig as the park is tight and the big, drive through lots are limited. Nice town to drive around and see the Capital, and there are plenty of spots to eat out. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Motorhome.

Tightly run. Clean. Reservation followup by email. Was easy to find. Park had internet but was very close to office. Had to get out and open gate when we returned in the dark. We camped at St Paul East RV Park in a Motorhome.

Banning Stagecoach KOA, Banning, California

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

If you have a pet you will need an outdoor rug as they are fighting stick tights. Nice K9 park. Staff is friendly, pool is clean. Wi-Fi is not free, but very strong 3G. Cable reception is good. Water is good. We stayed 3 days visiting our son. Location is quiet with exception of a distant train that is only occasional. Very nice party room for groups. We camped at Banning Stagecoach KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Juniper Campground, Ririe, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Only reason this does not get a 10 is that I am 20 miles from town to get a good meal. But, you can't get any quieter than this. This is a great place. All paved, level slots with good water, good electric and friendly people. Dogs loved it as they could run down below the dam and play in the creek. My 3G card worked fine and cell service is acceptable. Stayed in a 36' fifth wheel during a quiet week but the reservations look like it is very busy on weekends. Save $2 with Golden Passport. We camped at Juniper Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Pocatello KOA (Formerly Pocatello Creek Campground and RV Park), Pocatello, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Good location and easy to access off Interstate. Located in a quiet area. Many slots have no sewer and the dump is not very handy due to location. Heavily treed but still able to get DirecTV. No pavement and the gravel is a little dusty. Lot size is not large but adequate for pull-outs. Good for overnight. We camped at Pocatello KOA (Formerly Pocatello Creek Campground and RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Canyon RV & Campground (Closed), Hungry Horse, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Older campground that is in good shape. Lots are big enough for big rig and I had room for the truck. River was close for nice walk and trash locations were very handy. It was a challenge to get DirecTV but I got an adequate signal. Nice location just outside Hungry Horse and close to Park. I would stay again. We camped at Canyon RV & Campground (Closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

Blackwell Island RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean and well managed. Laundry was great. Mainly the lots are flat like in a pasture except the roads are nicely paved until the back part of the park where I was. A lot of mingling by campers. River access for your dogs as mine loved it. Location can not be beat as you are just a few minutes from downtown. Park is far enough away from road to be pretty quiet. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lava Hot Springs KOA, Lava Hot Springs, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

My site was not close to level. Personnel were friendly and helpful. Large pull through sites are double so you also have a place for your truck. Trains are a problem without earplugs for they come 2-3 per hour and the campsite is at the bottom of a steep grade so the trucks are extra noisy. Spent two days and decided to move on. We camped at Lava Hot Springs KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Jim & Mary's RV Park, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park but some of the lots are a little short for big rigs on getting in and out due to trees. WiFi is good and water is fine. Sprint worked. Location is right off highway with easy access but is several miles outside of Missoula. We just overnighted but would return. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
