Chula Vista RV Resort, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $83.00
Overall Rating:

If you have a 45 foot coach and tow, forget this place.

This was designed for 38 foot rvs with no slides. Was very tight and parking was two blocks away from your home. A nice location right on the park bay front. Nice hedges between tight pads, but this takes away from the space with 4 slides and a tow. They should redesign a large part of the park as space was complained by all we met. We camped at Chula Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Refuge Motorcoach Resort, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is heaven for a golfing RVer. Nice golf, supplied free golf cart, unlimited golf for free. They said we would pay when we signed up but the owners and employees said that they do not charge any RV residents. The course was once an Arnold Palmer designed course but bankruptcy stopped the use of his name. Dogs are allowed off leash in your RV site and grass all around to walk them. Sites are packed gravel (not too bad) but it gets dirty and dusty at times because there is no cement. Would stay here again but 28 days next time. Golf and an RV lot for 28 days for $1,800 is as good as it gets. We camped at Refuge Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Gold Canyon Resort (55+ park), Gold Canyon, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Hard to believe what you do not get for $45 a nite. You get a nice lady at check in but the men that park you and hook you up could not be ruder. They all repeated again and again that we are not able to park you or hook you up to our own desires, then you will not be able to stay here, so prepare to leave. What you get is a large park that is gravel everywhere except for a cement pad. Nice dog area. If you want to stay with a few RV's and thousands of Park models, this is the place for you. We camped at Gold Canyon Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Casino & RV Park , Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is what an RV park should be. Nice lake, very dog friendly, nice people, grass all around a cement pad. Could not be better. Cheap as a Passport America rate. It is very hard to find such nice parks as this. We camped at Lakeside Casino & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mitchell KOA, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

An OK park but the $44 a night for gravel and 5 motorhomes in park total. We were told that we had the last pull thru space and reserved it on the phone. Arrived and found lots of pull thru and good sites for TV reception. Nice thing about park is the space for dogs to run and enjoy the area without many people around. We camped at Mitchell KOA in a Motorhome.

Hart Ranch Camping Resort, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Low rating because of where they put us. We were put next to three full timers with many kids with many many available spots that were unused. We checked in saying that we required a view of the southern sky and was given this spot that could not get TV reception. We were given a $5 discount to make up for their error. We camped at Hart Ranch Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Osens RV Park & Campground, Livingston, Montana

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $28.00

High rating is because of the location and nice staff. Gravel sites, and small park out of the way. This was sort of close to Yellowstone and in October not much is open. We camped at Osens RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Rincon Country West RV Resort (55+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Only got this high a mark because of the grass squares in the dog area. A motorhome can be parked around the squares and the grass is used by the four RVs around the square. Quite a nice idea and all others should use this as it does not take up more space than a 4 pull-through spots. Low marks are for the gravel rest of the park and the park models forever in this park. The park model people are very unfriendly and very un-dog people. To buy a park model you must not have a pet and only a few spots are pet allowed. You can not even walk your dog in an area bigger than a couple blocks in this huge park. I can not believe that an RV park rents to RVs and puts park models in the same area. The park models were nearly empty this time of year so it has to be a money reason. There is no nice area in Tucson for RVs with a dog. Gravel everywhere. If you water grass it will be green and grow. I wish there was something nice here like Indio, Las Vegas, Naples, etc. Instead gravel is what you get. We camped at Rincon Country West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

The restaurant is still good, but it does not serve anything but home cooking fried type food. Gravel parking, next to dirt. Lots of flies. Friendly staff. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Johnny's RV Resort, Theodore, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

The only reason I did not give this a ten is the two bad points. The pads are gravel and few are very level. We had a spot with a lake view and large oak trees, beautiful. The permanent residents seem to be all around us. They had the nice spots near the lake and at 11pm a neighbor fired up his motorcycle and then at 6am another neighbor fired up his bike. Nice people but the management should put full timers in an separate area for themselves. This had a great dog walk around the 5 acre lake and the dogs could be off leash. We camped at Johnny's RV Resort in a Motorhome.
