Foot of the Rockies RV & Storage, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Large, gravel sites. Friendly staff. Nice view of the city. Close to services and Interstate. Park allows large aggressive dogs. 2/3 of the park rules deals with pets. Many sites have tall fences for their dogs. Many sites are cluttered with trash, used car parts, utility trailers, pick up truck caps, portable car tents and more. Very trashy park. We camped at Foot of the Rockies RV & Storage in a Motorhome.

Terry Bison Ranch Resort, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for 6 nights. Great location near Cheyenne and the Interstate. Most staff were friendly, one really didn't want to work there. The park is old, run down and in need of some tlc. I had a problem with low voltage and had to use an Autformer to boost voltage. When I reported it, the the office employee who really didn't want to work there, she said "I'll ask some one to look at it." No one ever came by. This park allows aggressive dogs and there were plenty of them. Some were in fenced in areas behind 6' wooden fences. In the Dry Camping area, people are allowed to run generators 24/7 without exhaust extensions. The restaurant is nice, rustic and great staff. The food was good but very expensive. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

Harbor Lakes RV Resort, Port Charlotte, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. See large sites. Extra clean club house, rest rooms and laundry room. Friendly staff. No grass, just weeds and sand spurs. Not good for dogs. Our first night we had a very poor interaction with a French Canadian woman at the Line Dance Class. She was extremely rude, told us to "move", "stop and go there". We were the only English speaking people in the class. Fortunately there were a few who were friendly. We camped at Harbor Lakes RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pontchartrain Landing, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is located in an abandoned run down industrial waterfront park. The first items covered by park staff were, "This place is safe. The water is good. And we have entertainment 5 nights a week. The Rock Band is loud." Well, they were right about the band. The music was so loud you could not hear the TV inside the motorhome, and the bands played until 11:00pm. Quiet time was 10:00. I went to the office, and they agreed with my assessment and said there was nothing they could do. I asked to be moved away from the bar where the bands were and was told no. No space was available. We stayed an agonizing week, and the park was never full. We will not return. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Motorhome.
