Cayton Campground, Rico, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stumbled on this park after spending a day in Telluride. We got lucky and found a nice big RV site and were also surprised to find that it had 50 amp power so we didn't have to run our generator in this beautiful setting & disturb other campers. No water or sewer hookup which was fine because we were prepared to dry camp. Not all sites have electric so tents it's good for tent campers. Campground is on the Dolores River tucked back from the road. We only got to stay one night but it was very pleasant. There is a dump station but it cost an add'l $15 so we didn't use it. We camped at Cayton Campground in a Motorhome.

Truckee River RV Park, Truckee, California

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Nice small park outside of Truckee. Sites are paved back-ins but plenty long for large RV's. They only have a few 50 amp sites that are not next to each other. The staff in the office is great! They are juggling checking in RV's & running the well stocked store, plus making outstanding deli sandwiches! Just an FYI, the entry into the park is small and congested and the roads throughout the park are one lane only but not too bad at all to maneuver. Super easy access on/off the freeway to get around Truckee, Lake Tahoe, etc. We camped at Truckee River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stagecoach Stop RV Resort, Rio Rancho, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed this park and we are so happy we found it on this trip. It truly is the best RV park we have found in the Albuquerque area. Sites are concrete pads with paved road throughout the park. Super clean and truly amazing views of the Sandia Mountains. A quiet country setting but convenient to all shopping & city sights. The staff was very nice and helpful in the office. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Stagecoach Stop RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park), Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Still one of our favorite spots & we always make time to stay here at the end of our trips before heading home. We absolutely love this park and since I have written glowing reviews in the past I wasn't going to write one this time; however, when we were checking in we witnessed a customer that was so rude & demanding. Management did their best to try and reason with him & we applaud them for that because there was simply no excuse for that kind of behavior. We camped at Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park to stay at as we started out our March trip. Sites are paved with nice spacing in between & with Camping World right across the freeway to stock up on everything you need for your RV. Its is a very large park and it can get windy being out on the open plains. We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Wahweap RV and Campground, Page, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this place! The best "campground" we have ever stayed at. Large concrete pads, full hookups, tons of room between you and the next RV site, views of Lake Powell, lots to do in Page. It feels like you are at a state park but with better amenities. It costs a little more but if you want an amazing experience take the Slot Canyon tours with Hummeradventures.net - hands down one of the best things we've done. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Dry camping only but we were pleasantly surprised at how nice this park is. The roads & sites are paved and have a good amount of space. There are lots of big trees & some grassy areas. There are no amenities but overall the park is really pleasant & quiet. We camped at Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort, Elephant Butte, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Definitely a nice park with lots of NEW amenities. Huge brand new indoor pool facility and event building was being built when we were there so this is definitely a Resort. The upper level has all paved roads with level gravel sites. The restroom buildings plus laundry are also new and very nice. The best part was the coin operated dog wash station! We camped at Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Alexander Valley RV Park & Campground, Healdsburg, California

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

It's such a shame that this is the only RV park option in this beautiful area because it is not good. It has the potential of being a nice park; however, the tent camping area is completely covered in trash and ruins the overall feel of the park. It also make it feel like you are in a very unsafe area with homeless types hanging around. It really is too bad because it is located on a river and very conveniently located to the adorable town of Healdsburg and several very good wineries. We camped at Alexander Valley RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park), Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Another one of our favorite places to stay. We got lucky because we didn't have a reservation and we know this park is always busy but we took a chance and the awesome staff got us in. After traveling for the past 2 1/2 weeks with our young niece & nephew it was so nice to go to a quiet adult park. No, you don't have to be over 55 to stay here because we sure aren't there yet but you do have to be at least 21 years old. The pool is amazing and we had it to ourselves most of the time, the off lease dog park is also a great plus. This park is so well maintained and we always love coming back. Wi-Fi worked great for us but again we don't stream movies, just check our email and had no problems. We camped at Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park), Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice and quiet park - except for the train, but it's better than the highway noise. Again, not sure how we end up at parks that say 55+ when we aren't, but they let us in probably because we don't have kids. Older park, but very well maintained and clean even though the roads are dirt rather than paved. Convenient location and we will gladly stay here again. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Alpen Rose RV Park, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We like this park the best in Durango. The awesome staff accidentally forgot to read the note that we were traveling with our friends and accidentally put us in sites that were far apart, but they worked hard and were able to put us next to each other. Love the sites, love the dog park, love the location. Wi-Fi worked like Wi-Fi is supposed to work; not for streaming movies but great for checking email - that's all it should be used for. We will be back. We camped at Alpen Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.
