Sebastian Inlet State Park, Melbourne Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2005 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park, well staffed (24 hr), well-kept/clean. Great location on River-inlet between Intra-Coastal Waterway and ocean - short walk to either. Long fishing pier, boat launch, long and interesting beaches. Dolphins-pelicans-storks-manatees. Large sites (easy for big rigs) with good visual screening. Would highly recommend. We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Motorhome.

Treasure Coast RV Park & Campground, Fort Pierce, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2005 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Absolutely wonderful. After 3-1/2 months on road, the best park or campground bar none. Came for a day and are staying a couple weeks. New (9/05 opening), upscale resort amenities (great pool, spa, clubhouse). Free cable and wi-fi. Spotless restrooms and showers (granite counters in bathrooms and laundry room). Big rig friendly (large concrete pads, wide paved roads). Lots of nearby shopping, restaurants and maybe 15 minutes to good beaches. People are professional and friendly. It doesn't get better than this - unexpected value for this price. We camped at Treasure Coast RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Jolly Roger Travel Park, Marathon, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2005 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

Pros = location mid-point in Florida keys, staff helpfulness, functional and well located hook ups. Cons = bad odor on waterfront (vegetation at low tide), tight roads and spaces for large rigs (cars on edge of roads by necessity). Nothing special for amenities. Given limited space in the Keys, probably fair value for what you get. We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Motorhome.
