This was an overnight stop in the middle of nowhere. No restaurants except two bars with no windows, which I quit going to many years back. Nothing that resembled a grocery store except a quick stop gas/grocery. Now to the campground itself. They advertise Wi-Fi, yes, but only after midnight and before 6am. When checking in, they gave us a free fly swatter because the flies were awful. They even warned us about the water pressure, which would be good one minute and a dribble the next. Water went out in the middle of my morning shower. They blamed it on the water lines being cut last year between them and town. I don't know about the campground showers as they were pay-showers and I did not use their bathrooms. A sad state of affairs for a campground. The roads and grounds were neat and sites were long. Those two things were the only good points about this campground.

The park is located in a great location and overall it is the best in the area. The sites were level, easy to get in and out, and sites were large. The resort is not very pet friendly because of the lack of green space. Two green areas were posted as "no dogs allowed" and the lack of green space around the sites make it difficult to walk your dog. The one area we found for dogs was located by the club house and many owners did not pick up after their pets. Very little grass here either, mostly gravel. The owners are not very friendly, we wave, greet them, and we get no response. The office staff were very friendly and check-in was easy. Great bike paths in the area and access from the resort was easy. The resort felt closed-in with cabins, park-models, coaches, trailers, golf carts, boat trailers, and multiple cars on sites. I would stay here again only because of the location and lack of alternatives.

Very nice campground populated with park models and very well kept. The folks are very friendly. There are about 2 dozen sites for daily rental. Easy in, easy out. Cute campground, so do not let the number of park models deter you from visiting. We will return in the future. There was one weird rule; you can not use your on board washer/dryer. Never asked the reason behind this rule. All paved sites with full hook ups. Even delivered lobster to your door.

This is our fifth time staying at the resort. We love visiting HHI and return every year. There have been some recent changes made in the front office staff. They brought in some energetic friendly faces that are very willing to help and to make sure your stay starts off on a good note. The grounds are well maintained and maintenance is prompt to address any issue. The pool is large and crystal clear. The resort is only 1 mile from the ocean, surrounded by bike paths, restaurants within walking distance, and plenty of shopping. The resort will only accept class A and C/super C coaches. Trash is collected every morning and landscaping cleans the roads and sites of leaves on a weekly basis. The roads are easily navigated and there is someone to lead you to your site. If you arrive early, they will drive you around in a golf cart to choose a site. Get here late and they pre-assign a site, but still lead you to your site. Arrive after dark and there are parking places by the office with power for you to stay until morning. We have been RVing for two years now and this resort is still our favorite.
