St. Johnsville Campsite Marina, St. Johnsville, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice friendly park. Front row on Mohawk River/Erie Canal occupied with seasonally. Middle and back row have all pull thru sites. It was a perfect place for us to hold up days before and Labor Day Holiday. Good bike riding on the Erie Canal Trail with access about 1/2 mile from CG. Very nice grass area on river bank for boat watching. Yes there are many trains about 100 yards behind us and they thunder down the tracks but no horns since no road crossings. Visit Erie Canal Lock 16 about 2 miles west (right on the bike path) and Lock 17 in Little Falls. We found enough to keep us busy for a week in and around the nearby towns and still had plenty of relax time at the RV. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at St. Johnsville Campsite Marina in a Motorhome.

Dumplin Valley RV, Kodak, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice one night stop for us. Called ahead and was instructed to find a spot if arriving after hours and come to office the next morning to settle up. Owner came by site shortly after got settled to verify everything was good, which it was. Super nice people. We discussed the upcoming Bluegrass Festival they will host in the fall and told me to make myself at home and take a look at the festival stage. Easy in and out off of I-40. Will stay here again. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Motorhome.

Dutch Treat Camping & Recreation, Zeeland, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient for Holland, Michigan. Friendly young lady at check-in desk. Large enough sites for our 40' rig. Seems to have spaces in another section that are long term units. Separate section for short stay RVs. We were here for 7 days. Several spaces filled with locals in for the weekend. Kids on bikes and other rides in the street. Restrooms were extremely nice and clean. Wi-Fi good. Heavy use 4-lane highway toward the front of the park but the area around the pool and further away is quiet. I rate this park a high 8. We would stay here again. We camped at Dutch Treat Camping & Recreation in a Motorhome.

Mountain Shadows RV Park, Draper, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

OK place to stay. Pleasant office staff. Grounds are well kept. We stayed a week and would come back again. Recommend you walk and review your assigned site before you proceed with your RV. Many full time residents in various RV's. Observed and heard nothing unruly during our stay. Park was very quite every night. Easy access to I-15 and I-80. Several miles to downtown SLC, but easy and close access to the local rail system. Our rate reflected a GS discount. We camped at Mountain Shadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Juniper Campground, Ririe, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Super Campground. Super Camp Host. Paved roads. Extra restrooms with showers. Some sites have view of the lake and dam. Weekend was pretty busy with locals but Sunday afternoon they all left and it got real quite and peaceful. 18 miles to Idaho Falls where there is a great walk/bike path along the Snake River and through city parks. Plenty of places to eat and things to do in IF. Rate reflects a $2.00 Senior Pass discount off the $18.00 full hookup rate. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Juniper Campground in a Motorhome.

Sturgis RV Park , Sturgis, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one week and left the MH here one week while we flew home. Did not worry a bit about the MH being there as we felt very confident in the staff and the area. Staff told us they would keep an eye on our rig while we were gone. Super staff, great facility, great view from the top deck overlooking downtown Sturgis. Super bike/walk path runs right in front of CG will take you into town or out to Fort Mead in the other direction. Walk to grocery store, restaurants and all other downtown spots. Rate is reflected as a weekly. We will not stay anywhere else when in Sturgis. We camped at Sturgis RV Park in a Motorhome.

Barrington Hills RV Resort, Hudson, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Barrington Hills RV Resort has gotten a bad rap by some previous reviews. Are there lots of Park Models here, Yes. Are there RV spots available, Yes. Snowbirds, Oh Yeah! We found the Resort nice. The Staff friendly, We never felt like we were encroaching on the seasonal residents nor were we treated like intruders. Many planned activities at the clubhouse. Great place to walk or ride bikes. Close to restaurants and grocery shopping. Good power, water and sewer hookups. Our rate is based on a two week stay with a PPA discount for one week. Stay here again? Sure without a doubt. If you are looking for an overnight you should keeping looking. One week or longer? Sure, go own in. Hikers and pedal bikers check out the J. B. Starkey Wilderness Park. Great place to spend the day hiking and biking. We camped at Barrington Hills RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Illinois State Fair Campgrounds, Springfield, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Good place to stay for a few days to visit the Lincoln sites around Springfield. Take the Campground Host recommendations on local attractions. They are very happy to help and suggest what to see and the best times to go. Full hook up sites in the grass on on the asphalt. The area lighting on the asphalt sites are very bright. Wi-Fi is strong. No road noise. If a Sunday or Monday arrival contact the Fairgrounds security, number on office door, to register and have the electric box unlocked. We would stay here again without hesitation. We camped at Illinois State Fair Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Ray Behrens COE, Monroe City, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

Sites with plenty of room and shade. Nice place to ride bike or walk. Some sites have water and electric but some only electric. This campground is consistent with all other COE parks we have visited. We have never been disapointed with a COE campground and this one is no exception. We camped at Ray Behrens COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Colfax Recreation Area RV Park & Campground, Colfax, Louisiana

Date of Stay: December, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Ditto what everyone said before me. This was a great stay for us. We are big on COE parks and this park is equal if not better. The grounds were clean and manicured very well. The restrooms were spotless and the heaters in the men's room were very warm for a December evening. This is a very well planned and constructed park. You will not be disappointed. The park attendant made a special trip to our site to bring a Park and Red River Rec area brochure. Nice walk down to the COE office at the Red River Lock and Dam. Travelers note: DO NOT take Louisiana Highway 8 between Leesville and IH49 Exit 103. This road is not an RV friendly route. Go through Alexandria or take another route. Avoid La. 8. We camped at Colfax Recreation Area RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place to stop and relax for a night or longer. Nice staff. Very nice walking path with lots of information on the area around the park. Great views in all directions and only 4 miles back to Carazozo. A couple of places to eat in town and only one grocery store. Bathrooms, at the Rec. area, maybe the cleanest I have ever been in outside my home. Several back in and several pull thru sites. Dump station easy to access next to restrooms. We camped at Valley of Fires Recreation Area (BLM) in a Motorhome.
