Lazydays RV Campground, Seffner, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This park has it all. It's adjacent to one of the largest full service RV dealerships in the country. It is close to Tampa. Sites are large, well maintained, there's a wonderful pool that has a huge screen covering to allow a bit of shade and keep the bugs out of the pool area. It's wide open, not a lot of big trees which is great for a big rig like ours. We like this spot and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Lazydays RV Campground in a Motorhome.

St Augustine Beach KOA, St Augustine Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in a great location for exploring St Augustine, right in town. It was more expensive than we prefer to pay but the value is there in terms of location. Sites are a bit cramped. Our biggest complaint was being in a site covered with trees when we had asked for a more open site to be able to get satellite, which we could not. The rig next to ours barely had room for his big rig. Our site was on the little lake and was very pretty. Lots to see and do in the area. We would stay here again if we could get a site that would allow us to get satellite. We camped at St Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

We would definitely stay at this park again. And New Bern is a very interesting and historic little town. We camped at New Bern KOA in a Motorhome.

Wilmington KOA, Wilmington, North Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This is another nice KOA but the price is too much for the area and for the park, typical of many KOA's we've stayed in. We would not stay there again for that reason. We camped at Wilmington KOA in a Motorhome.

The Refuge on Roanoke Island, Wanchese, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is perfect. Sites are large, well spaced. It's only about 3 years old and the owners have done an excellent job of setup for maximum enjoyment. Restrooms are amazing. They actually have some style built in. Manager is super friendly and helpful and the setting is wonderful. I highly recommend this park and we would definitely love to return some day. We camped at The Refuge on Roanoke Island in a Motorhome.

Asheville's Bear Creek RV Park & Campground, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient location just off I-40 but far enough away to eliminate traffic noise. Upper sites have great views of the valley below. It's a bit pricey but a good spot for a couple of days to see the sites around Asheville. We would stay here again. We camped at Asheville's Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a refreshingly nice stopover near the interstate. Sites were clean, utilities were easy to use and all the sites sit around a pretty little lake. I would definitely stop here again. We camped at Caboose Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Illinois State Fair Campgrounds, Springfield, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The location couldn't be better and the people at the office were very helpful about sites in the area. To get a sewer hookup we had to park on a grass site that was not very level, those run up and over little hills in the park. The paved area looked more inviting but there was a rally going on so we got the grass sites. If we came through again we would definitely stay here and park below on asphalt. Beautiful fairgrounds. We camped at Illinois State Fair Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

South Park Mobile Home Park (55+ park), Englewood, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The regular RV sites around the clubhouse are fine but the sites sprinkled around among the park models are not. Hookups are beneath the coach so you have to crawl under to hook up water and sewer, and since the sites are really for park models many are raised so that you have to be careful to get the tires (especially duals) on the raised portion. We would stay again in the regular RV sites only. The rest aren't worth the trouble of getting set up. We camped at South Park Mobile Home Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.
