Joplin KOA, Joplin, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We meet some Montana friends here. Our friends called to make a reservation and was told plenty of sites, no worry. When asked about deposits, was told not a problem. They told the staff that we wanted two sites side by side. They gave them the two site numbers that we would be in. When the Montana couple checked in, they were told again that no problem for side by side sites. Before we arrived, they had parked another camper in "our site". When the Montana coupled inquired as to what the deal was. The owner(?) manager became angry and said they did not guarantee sites with out a deposit. This lead to a headed discussion about what had been said. When we arrived, I asked for my site base on the numbers that we had been given. I assume it was the same lady that had been involved in the previous discussion as the conversation went downhill in a hurry. She said we were parked directly across from our friends so it was not a problem. Not sure what directly across form our friends means to her but being two sites further down was not directly across. While this was my first stay at the Joplin KOA it is also my last stay. Staff was very rude. JMHO. We camped at Joplin KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Elk City / Clinton KOA, Canute, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Having stayed at this park before I was surprised at the lack of maintenance. The staff was ok, the site was an east long pull through. We stopped here because we needed to do some laundry and expected a decent laundry room. The washers and dryers need a through cleaning. Was debating if the clothes would be worse after washing then before. We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Travel Trailer.

High Desert RV Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

A great park. If stopping in Albuquerque, this is where we stay. We meet some friends from Durango here for the balloon festival hence the higher then normal rate. A clean neat park. Great place at the top of the hill to look down on the city lights. We camped at High Desert RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overnite RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We use Overnite RV Park when stopping in Amarillo. The staff is always friendly, park is clean, sites are pull thru so easy in/easy out. Close to interstate and airport but the noise does not bother us. We camped at Overnite RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Movies 'N More RV Park, Lindsborg, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Calling this an RV park would be a stretch. A handful of sites around a movie rental store. This is more of a permanent place for monthly rentals. Not a place we will stop again. We camped at Movies 'N More RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

River Plantation RV Park, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for the last 4 years first part of November. This year will be the last. When we got to our site, someone was already in it. A call to the office, we were told not possible, we must be at wrong site. The site they moved us to was very un-level, the fire pit was full of cig butts and trash, grounds staff was non-existent. The office staff seem to not care if you were staying there or not. Next year we will be somewhere else. We camped at River Plantation RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: November, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

If the entry road was not so rough, this would be a 10. We like sitting and watching the barges go by. Close to downtown Memphis, but very quite. Best place in the Memphis area in our book. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.

Huntington / Fox Fire KOA, Milton, West Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Signage is terrible. We missed the turn and had to find a place to go back. The run down buildings and junk as we started down the hill gave us 2nd and 3rd thoughts. Site was OK once we got there but we will not return. By the way, I would not swim in the water either. We camped at Huntington / Fox Fire KOA in a Motorhome.

Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground), Hummelstown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We stay here every year for the RV Show. We always enjoy our stay. Cable and Wi-Fi worked fine. The shuttle to the show makes it worth the money. All ready made reservations for 2014. We camped at Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground) in a Motorhome.

We drive out of our way to stay here. We usually meet some family members from Arkansas in Branson. Park is clean, staff is super, great cable TV, Wi-Fi works well until park gets busy. One of our favorites. We camped at Compton Ridge Campground in a Motorhome.

Riverside Cabins & RV Park, Moorefield, West Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

A little out of town. Semi nice drive along the river. At the end of the road, prior to the RV park, a lot of run down mobile homes. Rather scary looking, but no problems. In hindsight, wish we had stayed in town at Wal-Mart. I would not stay again. We camped at Riverside Cabins & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Crossville / I-40 KOA , Crossville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was pleasent enough, lead us to our sites. The trees along the road to the hilltop sites need to be trimmed. They brushed the sides of the coach until I moved over onto the grass, No WiFi or cable back there but needed the sewer after 3 days without dumping. Probably would not stay again. We camped at Crossville / I-40 KOA in a Motorhome.

Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground), Hummelstown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed while working the RV show. I did notice a few train horns which I had not noticed in the past. The free shuttle each day to the show out weighs any bad. Very crowded for the weekend but no problems. We already have a spot for next year's show. We camped at Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground) in a Motorhome.

Flatwoods KOA, Sutton, West Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We would have rated this park higher except for the tight turns, narrow streets, steep climb up then down to get to the park. It was not a big deal to have to walk to the office in the hotel unless you have problems walking. Never saw any staff other than the front desk staff at the hotel. Limited number of big rig sites. Probably won't stay again. We camped at Flatwoods KOA in a Motorhome.

Isleta Lakes & RV Park, Isleta Pueblo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

I thought the rate would be a little cheaper since it is connected to a casino but not so. The park is right beside a commuter train station. You have to cross the tracks to enter the park which means the train blows his horn every trip. The lack of Wi-Fi was also a bummer. The park just looked dirty, the trash cans where all full and overflowing which did not help the appearance. I doubt that we will stay again. We camped at Isleta Lakes & RV Park in a Motorhome.
