Lake Tiak-O'Khata Resort, Louisville, Mississippi

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park is very pretty with lake views. The lake has lighted water fountain which is pretty at night. Shady spots, cement pads are level. Gravel roads but they are well packed down and in good shape. Like others said, go directly to the RV campground and pick your site, then go to the restaurant and let them know your site number. Ask them for the combo to the mens and women's showers and for the WiFi logon code. The WiFi is spotty but cable tv was nice. Full hook ups with 50 amp service. There is a super Walmart about 2 miles up the road. The place is clean and well maintained but if you don't like gravel you might want to go elsewhere. I have a 32' travel trailer and maneuvering was very easy. Plenty of room to back in. Nice and quiet, we will be back. The restaurant was good home cooked style food. Lunch buffet was good as were the hamburgers for dinner. We camped at Lake Tiak-O'Khata Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Natchez Trace is a very scenic byway that is about 30 minutes away. Try the restaurant - we noticed that all the locals come for lunch. Good simple food and a good price.

Mama Gertie's Hideaway Campground, Swannanoa, North Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We had a great experience while staying here for 3 nights. The owners were very helpful and made sure that we enjoyed our stay and had everything needed. They even helped us out with a locksmith when we locked our keys in the motorhome upon a late arrival. They stayed late to make sure that we got checked in and settled in our site. Super clean facilities, best we've seen this year. Showers, restrooms and laundry were meticulous. The setting is very peaceful and beautiful. It costs a bit more for the hilltop spots but the views are unbeatable. We camped at Mama Gertie's Hideaway Campground in a Motorhome.

Beautiful shady setting, with oak trees covered in Spanish Moss. Very pet friendly, with a special fenced in area to let your dogs run and play. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location is about 10 minutes from Savanna with easy access. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA, Trenton, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent campground, very peaceful at night and absolutely beautiful scenery to awaken to in the morning. Love the hiking trails through the woods and the pet playground. The sites are all shaded and have plenty of room for slide-outs. The owners and staff are very accommodating and friendly. Our site was very level and the other sites looked level as well. My only negative is that the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty. It worked fine at times and at others it didn't or was very slow. Otherwise this campground would be a solid "10" in our rating. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Motorhome.

Little Black Creek Water Park, Lumberton, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, clean and well kept park. The lake and swimming areas are very nice. Sites all have a lot of shade and are fairly level. Store is well stocked and they rent canoes and boats out. Only negative was we had a lot of ants; mostly our fault because the kids left some food out. Overall, a very nice RV park. We camped at Little Black Creek Water Park in a Motorhome.

Bay Breeze RV On The Bay, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This a delightful RV park that is just perfect for a quiet getaway. The sights are all shaded with massive oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. The Managers helped us get our trailer backed in and lined up with the cement pad. All sights have a picnic table. There is long pier suitable for fishing. This park is waterside on Mobile Bay but the beaches on the Gulf side are within a few miles. The sunsets are beautiful. The owners live on-site and come around to check on you to make sure you have everything you need. The showers that are located in the office building are single male and female units so we enjoyed the privacy it afforded. We will be returning to this park again real soon. We camped at Bay Breeze RV On The Bay in a Travel Trailer.
