Happy Hills Family Campground, Hancock, Maryland

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I certainly agree with previous comments regarding the large proportion of seasonal/annual folks vs short term campers. The campground does have a bit of a "trailer park" appearance. Having said that, the people that were around us were EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. Pros - full service store with food service; very nice and helpful staff; incredible Halloween weekend activities; set in a nice area off the beaten path. Cons - trailer park atmosphere; playground is run down; not many level sites. Bottom line, we would return for a weekend primarily due to its proximity to us, and we enjoyed the people. We camped at Happy Hills Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Homestead Campground, Green Lane, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Owner is extremely friendly and accommodating. Large playground and great hiking trails. Had a really nice site in the trees. If you're looking for a bunch of organized activities, this isn't the place - but if you want a well kept, quiet, relaxing campground, you've found it! We camped at Homestead Campground in a Motorhome.
