Horseshoe Casino RV Park, Council Bluffs, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Driving down Mid-America Dr, it would take a special type of ignorance to miss the sign that says "RV Entrance". Continuing on, There is a large sign that says RV Registration. Usually the park is not that crowded and they assign every other space which provides a nice amount of space. Parking is 15 feet away instead of?!?!? RV Parking is back in. There are very few big rig places in the Omaha area. The KOA choice is a long way from town and is ok for kids and dust at $50 per nite. Most big rigs can go a few days without a sewer hookup. This is my choice in the future!! We camped at Horseshoe Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bootheel RV Park and Event Center (formerly Hayti-Portageville RV Park, Portageville, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Good Sam campground now, no longer a KOA. The campground is immaculate, clean, and very level. Access is by a frontage road. Coming from the north, it is a little bumpy, coming from the south is fine. We liked it and would stay here again. We camped at Bootheel RV Park and Event Center (formerly Hayti-Portageville RV Park in a Motorhome.

Loveland RV Resort, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was friendly. I would stay here again. A few notes are in order. Parking is side by side front to rear to allow a common set of utilities for two rigs. It can be a little close. Next ,"pull-through" sites are advertised. This is correct, no back ins. This has always meant to me that the site would accommodate my RV and toad WITHOUT disconnecting. However, you will likely need to disconnect your toad at the entrance. Finally my Rand McNally GPS was alerting me to Cupid Street. Cupid St is an internal campground street not marked/visible from US 34. I was looking for the street to turn and almost missed the obvious park signs. We camped at Loveland RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Partridge Hollow Campground, Monson, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

It is a nice campground. Staff was nice. But some words are in order. Do not let your GPS bring you in through Dean Pond Road. The GPS address stops about 1/2 mile short and now you are in the deep woods scratching your head on a road that you wish you would not have been on. In the overnight Safari "pull by" field there is only 30 amp and water. The field is actually a series of back-ins but it is converted by allowing sideways camping across two sites. There is no usable WiFi. Verizon allowed emergency calls only. There is no TV reception. We camped at Partridge Hollow Campground in a Motorhome.

Lakeview RV Resort, Houston, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very very nice park. The staff was very nice as were the facilities. However the back-in sites around the lake and elsewhere can be blocked by parking, on the road, in front of the occupied sites, potentially making things awkward. The park has miserable Wi-Fi for a park this size and quality. My Verizon Wi-Fi connection was not particularly good either. We camped at Lakeview RV Resort in a Motorhome.
