Americamps RV Resort (formerly Richmond North / Americamps KOA), Ashland, Virginia

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a pass through NOT a destination. Sites are long but VERY close together. Noise from I-95 could be an issue if you have thin walls. Clean, full hook-ups, long sites, propane available, and a truck stop at the end of the exit ramp for fuel. We camped at Americamps RV Resort (formerly Richmond North / Americamps KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

Grey's Point Camp, Topping, Virginia

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This campground was super clean. We had a paved pull-through site. The sites and roads well planned out. The site was small but bigger sites ("Super sites") are available. This was a great campground, I can't wait until it re-opens in April. We camped at Grey's Point Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Cherrystone Family Camping & RV Resort, Cape Charles, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

The campground was laid out very well. The store was very well stocked and the prices were very reasonable. The pool was closed for the season but we were able to use playgrounds and mini golf. My overall impression was that if it had paint, it needed new paint, if it had carpet it needed new carpet and so on. The salt environment probably takes a heavy toll. I probably won't go back anytime soon. We camped at Cherrystone Family Camping & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Williamsburg KOA, Williamsburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The roads to the pull throughs were tight but ample. My family loved this campground. We stayed 3 nights. There were activities for kids, the store was well stocked, staff was friendly, and the campground was clean. I can't wait to go back. We camped at Williamsburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.
