Lanier's Family Campground, Surf City, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

A nice, quiet, clean relaxing campground close to some great sea food restaurants at Surf City. A visit to the memorial battleship USS North Carolina is a must and is an easy one half drive. Plan on spending the entire day. Use Rt 17 by-pass not business 17. We camped at Lanier's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Oak Plantation Campground, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

An almost perfect RV park, the absolute BEST we've ever stayed at. The retired aircraft carrier USS YORKTOWN is a must see. They do have problems with their commercial Wi-Fi provider. We had to go to a fast food restaurant to get Internet. We camped at Oak Plantation Campground in a Motorhome.

Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground), St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Clean restrooms and grounds, shaded level sandy sites, great cable with over 50 channels. Great Wi-Fi connection however the Wi-Fi is censored. It seems that the campground owners have put their parental controls on their customers. At $42.00 a night for full hook up with cable, it is a bit pricey. We stayed at a larger campground with the same hook up in Charleston SC for $22.00 a night. We'll try some place else next time. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.
