Bass Lake RV Campground, Dillon, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent overnight stay location. It is right off I95 with easy access. Check-in was a breeze with a very helpful and friendly staffer. Sites are grassy and level. The only downside was very slow wifi which was only accessible right next to the office but for one night, this was manageable. I would recommend and return to this location. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Cherry Grove Campground, Wolcott, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

The staff is exceptionally helpful. We had trouble with our satellite dish on our site and Susan went out of her way to rearrange things so we could move to another site. I also called 3 different times before arriving because I had to change my dates and she was extraordinarily accommodating. Very clean, beautiful, well-managed campground. We camped at Cherry Grove Campground in a Motorhome.

One of the best campgrounds we have stayed in throughout the country. The staff is wonderful; very professional and helpful about the campground and area. The park offers tons of activities and is very family and pet friendly. We camped at Normandy Farms in a Motorhome.

West Thompson Lake COE, North Grosvenordale, Connecticut

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Core of Engineers park. Definitely peaceful in a woody, isolated location with plenty of room between sites. The hosts were great. Water and electric (no sewer but there is a dump station.) Your satellite dish will not work here and there are only 1-2 tv channels available. We camped at West Thompson Lake COE in a Motorhome.

Delaware Seashore State Park, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Booked this campground online ahead of time. Having never been here before and unclear how long the trip would take to arrive, we pulled in 1 hour before the official check-in time. The woman at the gate was extremely rude; exceptionally nasty and unfriendly. She sent us to a lot across the street to wait which was fine but we had to beg for directions how to get out and get to that lot. Horrible start to our visit. The campground is nothing spectacular. This is very popular due to the location which is great (That is why I rated this a 3 and not a 1). However, if this is the service standard, we will NEVER return and we will tell all our RV friends as well. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

Swamp Fox Campground, Florence, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park many times in years past. However, our most recent stay showed that this park has declined significantly (the price has not). It is in desperate need of cleanup and repair. Sites are uneven and the hookups are needing repairs. Tree limbs are hanging in the roadways and need to be cut back. The access roads are narrow and potentially dangerous. This is not worth the price even for an overnight stay. We camped at Swamp Fox Campground in a Motorhome.

Suwannee River Rendezvous, Mayo, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is very nice - spacious sites, well-landscaped and maintained. Nice pool and picnic area. There is even a fenced dog area. Be sure to call ahead and they will assign your site to you on the phone so you can go right to it. Then it is a short walk down a dirt road to the office to check in. Do NOT drive your RV down the road to the office as there is no real turnaround. There are activities on the weekend. The owners are friendly and constantly working on making improvements and enhancements. The campground is off the beaten path but a great place to relax and enjoy some R&R. They accept Passport America at this park so our rate reflects that discount. We camped at Suwannee River Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

Ja-Mar RV Resort, South, Port Richey, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park is located right on US 19, near restaurants and shopping. The park is mostly park models but there are paved roads and the RV sites are paved or have a concrete porch. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the price is very reasonable for the area. If you are a Passport America customer, they honor this discount year-round for as long as you want to stay. The park is clean and well-maintained and has lots of activities during the prime season. We camped at Ja-Mar RV Resort, South in a Motorhome.

Wekiva Falls RV Resort, Sorrento, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Skip this park as it is not worth the cost. Most sites are cramped and require an extension to reach power (and in some cases, the water and sewer). If you don't have an extension, the park will rent one to you for $5/day which seems unfair since the long sites are not the renters' fault. Many sites are unkempt and are full of ant hills and biting bugs. Trash dumpsters were overflowing. We camped at Wekiva Falls RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lebanon/Cincinnati NE KOA (formerly Cedarbrook Campground), Lebanon, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This park is well maintained and nicely landscaped. It has many trees and our satellite dish did not work here. There is no cable but some local/area channels were available. There is a nice fenced dog area. The nightly price seems high for the area and for the facilities overall. We would probably not stay here again due to the high rate. We camped at Lebanon/Cincinnati NE KOA (formerly Cedarbrook Campground) in a Motorhome.

Walden's Creek Campground, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We found this campground via Passport America and what a great find! We planned to stay a week and stayed a month. The owner is terrific -- very friendly and accommodating. We were disconnected when we originally called but she called us back and found a spot for us even though the park with full for the holiday weekend. The park is very clean with full hookups. Very conveniently located and reasonably priced. This is now the only place we'll stay when we are in the area and we'll be sure to go out of our way to be able to stay here again. We camped at Walden's Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent park -- very clean and well maintained. The owner/operator is very friendly and helpful. We've stayed here 3 times over the past few years in a motorhome and would highly recommend this park for those coming to this area. The rate is for Passport America which can be used any day and for an unlimited number of days. Excellent park! We camped at Benchmark RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is one of the finest campgrounds we have used in our 20+ years of camping. Every site is paved, level, and has full hookups. The park is exceptionally clean and well maintained. A nice and free continental breakfast is served daily. There are plenty of grassy areas to walk dogs. The staff is friendly. The location is secure and close to nearby shops and restaurants. Wi-Fi and cable were excellent. We would highly recommend this campground. Regular rate is $35/night. Passport America discount is good for 2 days. They also accept other discounts like Good Sam, FMCA, etc. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fort Clark Springs, Brackettville, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a great find! It is very well maintained and secure. The park is exceptionally well managed. The Wi-Fi was excellent during our entire stay. We stayed for 9 nights and used our Passport America discount for the first 2 nights (cost was $12.75) and then paid a very reasonable weekly rate. For those traveling on US 90 in Texas through Brackettville, we would highly recommend staying here. We camped at Fort Clark Springs in a Motorhome.

Wild West Ranch and RV Resort (formerly John Wayne RV Ranch), Maricopa, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is a bit out of the way and is under new ownership who is working hard to improve the park. The owners and other campground personnel were very friendly. The campground was quiet, clean, and spacious. We stayed for 2 weeks using our Passport America discount the entire stay. Wi-Fi was excellent. It is about 10 miles from a major casino and there are cow farms in the area (some mornings, there was a slight cow odor but not unbearable). It is about 18 miles west of Casa Grande but an easy drive. We'd recommend this campground if you are traveling on I10 or I8 near Casa Grande. We camped at Wild West Ranch and RV Resort (formerly John Wayne RV Ranch) in a Motorhome.
