Restrooms mostly had no toilet paper and not real clean. Cottonwood trees leave a mess on everything and make it hard to breathe. Owners were nice but not helpful with any information about the area. The park looks messy with lots of "stuff" laying around. The price by month seems good but electricity is metered and is .20 per kWh which is ridiculous by most standards. There are lots of live in people in the park, some construction workers, some unemployed. Most keep their sites cleaned up and are quiet.

This park is located in a beautiful area of North Carolina. It is an old park but was probably a real resort in its day! Most of the sites have a wooden deck to pull up to which worked out great for us in a tent camper. We stayed in the very back section because we had friends coming to stay in one of the cabins beside our site. This worked good for that but after they left, we realized we were very far from everything-- the Activity Center, store, laundry, etc. There is no air conditioning in the buildings so it was very hot. The roads were dusty, but restrooms were clean and right across from us. No WiFi, no TV service, but it's a pretty park. I would like to go back when it's not so hot.

The roads in this park are gravel, therefore very dusty. When checking in, the office personnel were not very helpful so we had to just wind around to find out where to go. It is on a beautiful lake that is very peaceful during the week. There are many seasonal campers that come on weekends that keep it busy. We had a great site until a group of people checked in that consisted of several families with many kids and dogs. One dog was put in a kennel outside that must have not been used to being outside and it growled and barked all night. We decided it was too noisy for us so left early. Had it not been for that, we probably would have enjoyed our stay.

This is an old park but kept as nice as possible with little to work with. It is quiet, staff is friendly and helpful. The Family Center is bare, but does provide a slow free WiFi signal. There is a view of the ocean, though it is not accessible. The park is quiet and peaceful. There are sand fleas that are annoying, at least in August. I had several bites that have been hard to get rid of. The restrooms have many little green frogs in the shower area but they are harmless. The park is down a long road and the inner roads are gravel. This is not a busy park, but great for rest and relaxation. We chose a site under trees but there were some out in the open.

This is a jewel of a park, located in a beautiful area. You look out your door and see mountains and forest. The owners are easy to work with, they keep the park beautiful and well maintained. They have one area where horses can be kept while camping. It is quiet and other campers were friendly and respectful. I would love to go again and spend time. You do have to travel up a mountain road to get to the park, but so worth it.

The owners of this campground were so nice and helpful. They made sure their guests were taken care of. It is an older campground where people there seem to have stayed many years. There is a little lake that is keep clean. The park is maintained well and decorated with a fun style. There are bullfrogs to listen to at night. Overall, it is very peaceful and a good transition park for travel in other directions.

This is an old park that has had several improvements. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were there when they had a grand re-opening so things were all spruced up. The park was easy to get to and surrounded by many pretty little towns. The Family Center was not open yet but inside looked nice. The office area is especially nice though it seems like a bit of wasted space. The grounds are nicely kept but mosquitoes were almost unbearable. August may not be the most desirable time to be at this park. Restrooms were clean and the handicapped one has everything in it for a shower (toilet, big dressing area, shower, etc.).

This campground is right in the middle of town and is a little hard to get in and out of. The staff is friendly and helpful but extremely busy during summer. There are many seasonal campers that have the best sites in the park. It is a noisy and busy park with no Family Center and nothing really in the park except a swimming pool. There is an Adult Center which seemed to be locked more than open, and a shuttle that came through the park so people didn't have to drive the area.

This park is tiny with only one restroom facility that is also shared by swimming pool. It has dark sand, and roads are gravel and dusty. The best sites are taken by seasonal campers and the other sites are so close that slides nearly touch. Our site was nice under pine trees but we didn't need much room and the tree roots made it very unlevel. There is a nice walking area but you get covered up by dust if a car comes by. The seasonal campers are friendly and generally keep their sites very nice.

We were in a good site where mostly motor homes stayed but it was too dusty to be down in another section. There is an Adult Center close to where we stayed however it seemed there were some young adults who practically lived in the center. They were sleeping in their car and staying in that center all day. The people staying in the park were generally nice and friendly. It seemed like this park was understaffed in that speed limits were not enforced and kids and teenagers drove and ran wildly around the park. It is a big park and for the area, it was a good enough place to stay.

We were at this park over July 4th weekend and it was way overbooked. It is an old park located in a valley where campfire smoke was irritating unless you don't mind breathing constant smoke. It was a bit noisy because of the number of people and we were close to the office area. There is only one way in and out over a wooden bridge so there is a lot of traffic. We used the Adult Center bathrooms, which ran out of paper and were not cleaned very well. However, in its day I'm sure this was a beautiful resort. There are lots of activities planned and plenty for kids to do if you want to give them money for the arcade and ice cream. It had a little grill open so you could eat at the park. There are many seasonal campers, most of them keep their own sites pretty and neat.

We had an excellent site by the restrooms. The Activity Center was inside the office/store area, so was inaccessible after hours, which is when we wanted to watch TV. There are many seasonal campers here but most keep the sites well maintained. Smoke from other campsites were sometimes a problem but only when air was still. Restrooms were cleaned regularly but not very thoroughly.

The site we stayed in was next to a primitive area but was well maintained. There are geese there that are fun to watch but are messy. People at the park were very nice but the speed limit is not enforced very well. There was supposed to be a hot dog cookout one night and the activity director didn't have propane or something so it didn't take place and it was what we had planned on as our meal. There were other people also expecting this activity. The location of this park is excellent.

We had a great site close to the animals they raise in this park. Staff was friendly and helpful. Women's restroom was not ventilated and stayed wet all the time. There were no working plugs in restroom and we saw several people take their dogs into the restroom, one even giving his dog a shower. Picking up after dogs is not enforced at this park. There are a lot of seasonal campers in the park but most seemed very nice. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. We enjoyed the park itself as well as the surrounding area.

We were on motorcycle pulling tent trailer so stayed in site as close to the Family Center as possible. All inner roads were gravel and very dusty but we got a great site with shade and right across from restrooms. The buildings were old but adequate and restrooms were cleaned often, however the laundry building had water all in the floor and smelled very moldy. Only one washer and dryer were provided. This park needs some TLC but location was good for driving around area. We had one issue with camper parked next to us that kept a boom box up very loud and disregarded the notion of being too loud if it goes beyond your campsite. When we complained we were told that they were "good regulars." This is another example of a park that has its seasonal regular campers that is becoming a trailer park. I would not stay there again unless it was the only park to stay in.
