Villager RV Park, Wildwood, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Most important note as previously mentioned, unless you have a fifthwheel it is very hard to access the park coming from the interstate/turnpike as you have to make a U turn to get to the entrance. Best to get off at Hwy 44 and come back to Hwy 301. Office staff was very friendly, laundry was clean and ample machines. Sites were mainly long term and snowbirds. Grounds were well kept. Did not use restrooms. Park had no other amenities which was fine as we were here visiting friends and not at the park during the day. After reading the previous posts I requested a site out in the open to get satellite reception. Wi-Fi was good. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Villager RV Park in a Motorhome.

Magnolia Springs RV Hideaway & Golf Resort, Foley, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Directions to park were good except the sign at the main entrance says Magnolia Hideaway RV Park. golf course no longer there the owners are building 70 more sites in that area. Entrance road is somewhat dusty. Once in park most sites are concrete with patio's. WiFi was good in our site, agree with previous post some sites blocked. grounds were clean, would have given a higher score on service if the person who took reservation hadn't made a mess of it and the person checking us in couldn't figure it out till the next morning. Didn't use the restrooms or laundry park mostly snowbirds were friendly. Park will be really nice when they get the new sites in. We would stay here again. Only big negative was their web site hasn't been updated since 2014, was disappointing when trying to see their rates for next winter. We camped at Magnolia Springs RV Hideaway & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Maxey Care RV Park, Morganza, Louisiana

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Park is clean even with permanent campers, don't know about previous comment on park layout, we had no problem with our 40' motor home navigating the interior roads, camp hosts were very friendly. Laundry area was very clean as was the shower area (did not use) Based on other reviews of parks in the area we chose this one and are very satisfied. We will stop here again if in the area. Park also offers wi fi and works well. We camped at Maxey Care RV Park in a Motorhome.

McFarland Park Campground, Florence, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second stay here, lucky enough to get a site closest to the water. Park was clean but could use some grass seed in areas. Nice place to spend time sightseeing the area. Will come back again. We camped at McFarland Park Campground in a Motorhome.

McFarland Park Campground, Florence, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Park does not accept reservations but when I called the office the woman said call back just before you get here. We decided to drive to the park anyway and found a site one row off the water. Was interesting watching the barges up and down the river, lots to see and do in the area. Park was clean, sites were not at all close as in previous review, been to others with less space. Reason I did not give this park an excellent review was for the no reservations and the water/sewer connections were a stretch. We camped at McFarland Park Campground in a Motorhome.

KOC Kampground, New Iberia, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park has a beautiful entrance and outside office area. Gravel drive but not alot of dust. Yes there are permanent campers here but in the oil region of the south where do you not find them. They were well kept up and did not detract from the property. The check in office lady was VERY informative, telling of the areas attractions and eating establishments. This is a very nice campground beautiful pool and area for kids playground. Did not use the bathrooms or laundry. Highly recommend this campground for staying and touring the area. We camped at KOC Kampground in a Motorhome.

Safari RV Park, League City, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful park for touring the surrounding area. Office staff was friendly and helpful, all utilities were up to par and over the air TV was good. Verizon service was on the slow end but tolerable. I would give this park a 10 but some sites were not satellite friendly because of trees, and the gravel exit road after a rain was muddy. Rate reflects a Passport America discount. We would stay here again if in the area We camped at Safari RV Park in a Motorhome.

Emmaus Motor Coach and RV Resort, Summerdale, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

I must say the previous post almost scared us away from this gem in the country. Yes, I will agree the person answering the phone needs to keep it on their person but she was very friendly and helpful and accurate with directions to the park. This resort once the new expressway gets finished will be very convenient. The park is immaculately kept. Sites are spacious and all utilities are up to par. If they proceed with future planning this will be an exceptional resort. As for fire rings and picnic tables I believe it would take away from the looks. I would definitely come back for a longer stay. The rate reflects a Passport America and Good Sam discount. We camped at Emmaus Motor Coach and RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fairview Devil's Step Campground (Tims Ford State Park), Winchester, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Camp hosts were very friendly folks, center section of park is where the FHU sites are. Most would accommodate a 40' rig. 30 amp electricity was sub par, when park was 1/2 full our power was not enough to power the A/C on site 70 but I think other sites were fine. Park was clean and even had a security gate. Beautiful lake front sites without FHU available. Unfortunately this park is in need of repairs but due to budget cuts it's not in the cards at this time. We would return as it was the only viable option in the area. We camped at Fairview Devil's Step Campground (Tims Ford State Park) in a Motorhome.

Ceraland Campground, Columbus, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Park is beautiful and very family friendly. Park was clean, did not get to check restroom facilities so do not know what their condition was. Check in was easy but person did not have a map for directions to site which made it a little confusing. Utilities were not located conveniently. If you have a roof mount Sat dish there is no reception due to a lot of trees. I would camp here again if need be. We camped at Ceraland Campground in a Motorhome.

Au Gres City Park and Campground, Au Gres, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This was an older park with a lot of seasonal trailers. FHU sites were at the entrance of the park. Only W/E available around the river and inner section. No one was in the office so it was self pay. It made for a nice 2 day stay but the town has pretty much closed up. We camped at Au Gres City Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Huron Campground, Carsonville, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very large park. Not many camping at this time of year. Check in by park manager was friendly. Laundry room was clean. Park had lots for kids to do. Being a new park the trees were not big enough to give shade. Verizon cell worked good but on another carrier. Verizon MiFi also was roaming. This park would get more business if they lowered the price some. Other than that it was a nice place to camp. We camped at Lake Huron Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

As said before this park has a lot of seasonals but they are in their separate area. Sights were level and grassy. We were here in off season so not many people in the park. Park was clean and check in staff was friendly. Would not want to spend a week here but it was good for 2 nights to be able to sight see the Frankenmuth area. We camped at Berwagana in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Overall this park was very nice. Check in staff was friendly and an escort to your site. All sites were grassy so don't know what would happen in rainy weather. Water & sewer hooks were a fair distance apart. Over all this was a nice park and would camp here again. We camped at Pla-Mor Campground, Inc. in a Motorhome.

East Tawas City Park, East Tawas, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent park right on Lake Huron. 99% of sites have seasonal trailers so getting in during the summer may be hard. There is a max length of 37' & some sites the sewer & electric are in opposite directions. Park is within walking/biking distance to downtown shops, Wal-Mart and restaurants. Beautiful sandy beach and next door to harbor/marina. Nice playground for kids. Verizon cell & MiFi worked well. Park is right on main Hwy through town so road noise may bother some. We camped at East Tawas City Park in a Travel Trailer.
