Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort, Panama City Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

If it were not for the misrepresentation on their web site, I would have given them a 10. The say they have Wi-Fi (hint-"free in the club house") and cable TV (no hint of an extra charge). They do have these but they don't tell you that they charge extra for each. The web site lets you think they are include. This is not good. Other wise, this is an excellent park. For a park to get a 10-10-10, their amenities should include free WI-FI and free cable TV. It looks like Trailer Life missed this. For the price you pay, they should include both free. I love the new salt water pool and the fenced dog run. We camped at Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort in a Motorhome.

Carrabelle Beach RV Resort, Carrabelle, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Wi-Fi speedtest results were 35ms: .39Mbps down and .40Mbps up. It was nice and clean. They have several areas to walk your dog with doggy bag dispensers and cans for waste. They also have a nice fenced area for the dogs to run off lease. Everything is new looking and well maintained. Some pull-in (for motor home only), some back-in and some pull-through sites. The staff was very nice and helpful. They are across the highway from a public beach which was narrow and covered in seaweed. I would not want to swim there. The state needs to do a better job of maintaining it. We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Holiday Cove RV Resort, Cortez, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

Free Wi-Fi. Speedtest.net says 45 ms ping, 7.24 Mbps down and 1.66 Mbps up. I have never seen this kind of speed in but one other RV park, and it is password protected. Water pressure is 50 PSI. They use a lawn service to keep the grounds manicured. The laundry has 3 almost new commercial washers and 6 almost new commercial dryers at $1.50 per cycle. The dryer got my towels dry in one cycle. Amenities include full hook-ups; back-ins sites to handle small to large motor homes, 5th wheels, and travel trailers; landscaped paved pads and drives. I think this is one of the nicest RV park I have ever stayed in. It is about a half a mile from the Anna Maria Island where the Bradenton Beach is located and parking is free. We camped at Holiday Cove RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Santa Rosa RV Resort, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $85.00
Overall Rating:

They should have waited to open until they were finished. Their web site listed 1. Private gated resort. Did not have. 2.On site laundry. Room was there but no washers or dryers. 3. Fishing pier. Did not have. 4. WI-FI. Did not have. 5. Fitness room. Had one exercise bike and was locked. Not finished inside. 6. Private white sand beach. This consisted of a strip of usable sand about 3-6 foot wide from water to seawall. There was not enough room to put out chairs unless you put them in the water. 7. Pet friendly environment. They did now have a finished area to walk dogs in, only an area they were going to make into a pet area. The highway went right beside the park and the noise from the trucks kept you awake all night long. They need thick scrubs or a noise barrier wall between the 4 lane highway and the park to cut out the noise. The park was nice but lacked a lot in being finished and was not worth the price. Water front lots were $85, center row was and next to the road were $55-65 per night. I would not stay here again unless they finished the park and dropped their prices and then I would stay as far as possible from the highway due to the noise. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Emerald Beach RV Park, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is the first time in two years that I have run into a park that charges for internet access. They say that they have internet access. They don't bother to tell you until you get there that they charge $3.00 per day extra for internet access when in this day and time most places offer it for free. It would be nice if they would move into the 21st century and offer it for free as their ads lead you to think. We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Plum Nelly Campground, Ellijay, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice but rustic campground. We were there for the apple festival and all spaces were taken. They said the two weekend of the festival were the only time they were this crowded. The camp manager and the owner were there both days we were there trying to make sure everything went well for everyone. When making reservations, it is best to talk to (manager) than the owner. I will stay there again. The interior roads and pads are gravel. We camped at Plum Nelly Campground in a Motorhome.
