Candy Hill Campground, Winchester, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Clean and well organized with paved pads but the only thing more tightly packed than the firewood bundles were the camping sites. Fine for an overnight or two but not a place to go to enjoy nature. We camped at Candy Hill Campground in a Motorhome.

Brook N Wood Family Campground, Elizaville, New York

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the better privately run parks we have seen. It was quiet, clean, well appointed and with many family activities. Even the seasonals are clean and tidy. Sites are fairly well spaced, level and easily accessible by our large motor home. We will definitely stay there again. We camped at Brook N Wood Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Pipestem Resort State Park, Pipestem, West Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Extremely well run, well appointed and clean. Sites are spaced generously with an abundance of trees giving us an aura of privacy. Only downside is that many of the sites are a bit small for a large motor home and/or too slanted for proper leveling. There are many things to do here; don't miss the gourmet restaurant at the lodge. We camped at Pipestem Resort State Park in a Motorhome.

Glendale Campground, Elizabethtown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Clean but well-worn in need of a face lift. Easy access to I-65 and many amenities including a nice pond for fishing. Site was level but tight, both for getting in and close to the next site. Good for an overnight or two but I wouldn't plan a long stay. We camped at Glendale Campground in a Motorhome.

West Branch State Park, Ravenna, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Extremely well run, well appointed and clean. Sites are spaced generously, divided by trees or terrain giving us an aura of privacy. Most full hookup sites were sufficient for our large motor home and all were quite level. Lovely natural setting. We camped at West Branch State Park in a Motorhome.
